So, our remodel construction began on Monday and little Miss Q is not happy about ANY of it. I can't say I'm incredibly crazy about it either, (except for the fact I'm getting a new kitchen). People often ask why I call my husband Beef Cake. Well, as much as I would love to have a hilarious story of how the name came about, like something so funny...I mean pee-in-your-pants funny where you'd immediately want to forward this post to everyone you know using those oh-so familiar acronyms to describe your hysterics. But the boring truth is the name came when one of our friends saw our engagement photographs and remarked on how buff Beef Cake's arms were by immediately shouting in a masculine voice, BEEEEEF CAAAAKE!!!

My Dog…Smarter Than a 3rd Grader + A BRIGHT E-Session at a Tulip Festival in Ottawa Canada
Soooo....my dog just might be smarter than a 3rd grader. Aaaaaannnnd...she's probably twice as annoying too! Here's why.
When Quinley was a little puppy, (just a few short months ago), Beef Cake and I thought it would be really cool to teach her how to knock, with her paw, on the sliding glass door when she needed to go potty. Brilliant concept, don't you think? Or so we thought. Because of course, having the smarts of both a Poodle and a Golden Retriever, she caught onto this within a few days.
