I'm so excited about one of today's weddings. When Kerinsa Mullins of Kerinsa Marie Photography sent in this gorgeous wedding in Granby, Colorado, I knew right away I would feature it. Then I received an email from one of my favorite fellow bloggers, Alicia from The Charity Wedding, asking if I would like to team up with her and post the wedding together. "Of course", I said. And so here we have it, with each of us posting a different part of the wedding so if you visit her site and then mine, you will see the whole story. Alicia has posted the "Pre-ceremony and ceremony" images and Click Here to Read More

Today is definitely Wedding Wednesday as I'm posting two wedding's instead of one. And here's the lovely second one sent in by fabulous photographer Kandise Brown of hibou photo. She also was kind enough to share a few words with us about bride and groom Courtney and Andrew, so let's hear what she had to say.
Courtney & Andrew had a beautiful outdoors wedding full of personal touches, from the custom made dresses to the activity booklet they created for their young guests. The centrepieces were focused on bottles that the bride & her sister had spent years picking out of the fields
Do you like slow-cooker recipes? I do...they're amazing, just chop, brown and add...and several hours later you have a fantastic meal that will satisfy even the hungriest of your clan. And this one will be sure to please.
Ingredients
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts, (10 to 12 ounces each)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/4 pounds crimini mushrooms, quartered ( if you can't find criminis, substitute with mini portobellos)
1 onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 3/4 cup dry white wine
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

As soon a I saw Jesse & Paul's wedding submitted by Jessica Ashley of Peachtree Photography, I knew I had to feature it. I mean, not only are there some stunning images...but a wedding at a brewery? Seriously that has to be next to perfect! And if The Hubby and I weren't already married, I'm sure there'd be little convincing to get him to fly out to Atlanta and have a wedding right there at 5 Seasons Brewing...since we both love us some beer and awesome breweries like this. At the very least I definitely want to go visit it the next time we're in that amazingly fun town. And if by
This lovely wedding sent in by Joe & Rhonda Hendricks of Joe Hendricks Photography came in over this past weekend and I knew I just had to feature it right away. So instead of publishing it months from now, I'm bringing it to you today as my second post of the day. And even better...Joe and Rhonda provided us with a nice detailed account of the bride and groom and their special day. So let's waste no time and get right to it.
Jennifer & Mike are a fun, quirky couple - and they brought elements of their personalities into their wedding. The first thing that comes to mind...
About a month or so ago I began to request for all engagement submissions to have at least one outfit change for more variety in the blog's imagery. And although this adorable engagement session of Mia and Tim from San Juan Capistrano, California sent in by Kelly Mendoza of True Bliss Photography was submitted before I changed my requirements, I think these images are special enough to make them stand out even with the one outfit. I just love how these two really play to the camera. And that bouquet from Pixies Petals, simply gorgeous! So go on then...have a look see and enjoy!

So sorry...I know I've been lagging on my cooking section, but I've been dealing with a lot of neck pain from the accident that occurred on our vacation in July and I just haven't been able to stand very long in the kitchen. I know...I know, we have this brand new kitchen that is begging me to cook in it and I can't. It's like a perfect spring day where everyone is outside enjoying the beautiful weather and I'm inside dealing with a bad case of allergies. Serious sad face! So, instead of not posting anything for a while I decided to enlist a little help from The Hubby and here we go...
I
Yesterday while I was pursuing other blogs I love, I was reminded of a moment on my honeymoon in Breckenridge Colorado. It was a poignant moment...one of those rare situations where you look at the person you are with and blink or shake your head and say to each other, "Did you see that?" Here's what happened, it was the first night of our honeymoon and The Hubby and I went to a Sushi restaurant...I know, Sushi in Colorado is like a luau in Texas and believe me I was a bit concerned at first...but our hotel concierge assured us we would love it and so we went. But when we arrived at the restaurant
Today we're going to travel to Northeast Michigan where there's a a cute rustic wedding venue called the Presque Isle Lodge. And today's bride and groom, Stephanie and Ryan, just so happened to have gotten married there. Submitted by Paul Retherford of Paul Retherford Wedding Photography, Stephanie and Ryan's wedding was a DIY beauty with many of the details done by family. And I'm just lovin' the cards for guests to write inspirational wedding advice to the bride and groom, cute idea!
Photographer:
What do you get when you mix a pair of Christian Louboutins, a beautiful Priscilla of Boston gown, gorgeous bride Hannah and handsome groom Josh, Pinehurst Golf Course as a venue and Katie Long from Switzerfilm as the photographer? Yeah, that's right...you get one stunning wedding! And without further ado, here are some words from the bride Hannah.
Although our wedding was intimate, we wanted it to be glamorous and luxurious. We picked a rich purple for the reception and had white plush furniture for guests to lounge. There were glossy black candelabras dripping in crystals that
One of the things I love best about being the Editor of this blog is the amazing and different photographers I get to know through submissions sent in and correspondence or conversations about the event. Honestly, if you follow this blog you will see so many different styles of photography...and that's what it's all about, to showcase the unique qualities of photographers out there. That being said, Mindi and Rich Verdi from Photography by Verdi have been featured here on FYB already and so I was excited when they sent me Abby and Chris's Pebble Creek Country Club wedding. As with many
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We definitely did with a relaxing Saturday and yesterday we had some good friends over to help us break in the new kitchen in style. It was so nice to share with them the beautiful new space we have.
Anyhow, today I have a cute couple's engagement session sent to me by Pottinger Photography. Bride and Groom to be Kristin and René look so adorable in their Italian inspired engagement session. I love the Lady and The Tramp Spaghetti thing they have going on and their affection for each other is so apparent throughout
If you follow this blog you know I like settings and styles that are different, be it an engagement session set in a junk yard with graffiti everywhere or a DIY wedding that is outside the box like this one sent to me by Canadian Photographer KP Photography by Kathy Paton. And there are so many things I like about this wedding I almost don't know where to begin. Okay...I'm collecting myself, and here we go. First off, this red door hanging in the middle of the forest...can anyone say spectacular? And the image Kathy captured of bride and groom Gillian and Brandon behind it, priceless!
