Happy Friday everyone! It's the end of a week of Southern Weddings for us here at FYB, well...kind of ;-) We sure have had a lot of them this week anyway. It's all good though, we love us some good ol' down south photography. So to finish the week off in the appropriate fashion we have another wedding from fabulous North Carolina photographer Sarah Whitmeyer of Whitmeyer Photography. Earlier this week we featured Morgan & Jordan's wedding photographed by Sarah and today we have Carrie & Luke who were married in Asheville, North Carolina on June 18, 2011. I'm really lovin' Click Here to Read More

I am so excited about this wedding which I'm sharing with the very lovely Lauren from The Southern Aisle. Did you know her wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty? If you haven't seen it you must go see it here.
Anyhow, back to today's split post with Lauren. About a month ago, Alicia from The Charity Wedding and I did a similar post which you can see here. Alicia came up with the idea for each of us to post part of a wedding and I LOVED it so much I decided to ask Lauren if she wanted to share post this one as well. To my delight, she was excited about it too...so here we go.

Have I mentioned how much I love southern weddings? Today I have two of them and each are gorgeous in their own right. This first one, photographed by Karina Rigtrup from A Fresh Take Photography, has such lovely, soft light and bride Megan looks every bit the gorgeous, southern lady. The pastel colors and whimsical details are just delightful and I adore how picture perfect Megan, Adam and their bridal party look in all of these images. This fabulous South Carolina wedding was a true labor of love for Megan. From the many vintage treasures to the DIY projects, she put her whole heart
Today's second wedding is definitely a fun one for me to share. Not only because bride and groom Shannon & Mike are two super cool and amazingly nice people, but also because the submission comes from Jessica Frey, a great friend and fantastic photographer. On top of all that, I also second shot this wedding along side Jessica. Yup...how about that? Pretty cool, huh? I've never featured a wedding where I was the second shooter, so this is definitely fun for me. Plus, I can give you a first hand account of the day, and that's a definite bonus.
So, if you don't know Jessica,
This is probably one of the longest titles I've ever written. Okay, maybe I went a little over-board...but hey, sometimes that's alright to do...right? Especially when it's regarding a wedding as lovely as this! And when Corey Hendrickson of Hendrickson Photography Weddings sent me this wedding, I went a little over-board then too. Monica & Hayri were married in July at Arlington's West Mountain Inn in Vermont. And as you can see, the wedding was a complete success from their personalized invitations with images of them throughout their travels and life to the gorgeous flowers
G O R G E O U S is the absolute best way to describe this couple and the images produced by Canadian photographer Alyssa Alkema. I mean seriously, bride and groom to be, Alyssa & Steven, who are also high school sweethearts, look like they should be on the cover and quite possibly every page of an Anthropologie catalog. Don't you think? And I can only imagine what their children are going to look like. Can anyone say picture perfect? Even better, this location called "The Devil's Punchbowl" a popular local hangout and one where Alyssa & Steven use to go in high school
Today's wedding, photographed and submitted by Sarah Whitmeyer of Whitmeyer Photography, was held at the gorgeous Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville. With the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop and quaint Biltmore Village as the setting, Morgan & Jordan's June 11, 2011 wedding was definitely the essence of pure romance. With it's rustic antler chandeliers and bronzed animal statues paired with elegant velvet drapery along side modern touches, this wedding venue is definitely one of beauty. And by the looks of these fabulous images, Morgan & Jordan's nuptials were a smashing success.
Sorry it's been a little while since I blogged a recipe, I've been so busy...which made me think of this recipe because it's super easy, something you can throw together for yourself or your whole family when your time is limited, but you want something healthy as well. This is definitely a favorite go-to recipe for me and it's even tastier a day or two after you make it when the seasonings have a chance to really seep in. So let's get cookin'.
Ingredients
Makes 6 servings
2 cooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts - (I often cook the chicken ahead of time, as I did here
Happy Monday ya'll! Yeah, that's right...I said ya'll...even though I was born and raised in Southern California. I just thought it was fitting given we have this wonderful New Orleans engagement session today. Brittany & Skylar, along with their two beautiful dogs, were photographed by Meg & Charles from Meg Baisden Photography. Meg & Charles are a New Orleans based husband and wife photography team, along with Madison, their adorable seven pound dog who is their studio's official mascot. If you haven't checked out Meg and Charles's website, it's a definite must. It's
Happy Friday everyone! It's the first day of fall, can you believe it? And it's raining here on the coast of California...weird! But kind of nice as well because we don't always experience a real change in seasons. I don't think the Pupp-awg likes it very much though because she can't go out and play. Silly puppy!
Anyhow, enough about that...let's chat about today's wedding photographed and submitted by Amy Hedges of A. Hedges Photography. Amy describes her style as easy and laid back, but very systematic and organized. She says her images are thought out and creative, beautiful and
Hello and happy Thursday FYB fans, followers and newcomers alike! It's great to have you and I'm so happy it's on a day where I'm featuring a couple of my favorite photographers. If you read this blog religiously, you already know I have a "Photogra-mance" with Jason + Jessica Williams of Session Nine Photographers, a husband and wife duo out of Scottsdale, Arizona who are available for commissions worldwide. I published one of their engagement sessions, Anna & Zack, back in June as well as Anna & Zack's wedding featured in July. So I'm thrilled to once again have them on the
Today I have a gorgeous "Newlywed Session" of bride and groom Gianna & Ryan submitted by John Pascarella and Sean Blair of The Brand Studio. With more than 20 years of experience creating and teaching photography and fine art, John and Sean create images that are both artistic and elegant as well as sophisticated and timeless. And I for one think their experience definitely shows in this wonderful imagery. Don't you?
Gianna and Ryan met In Walt Disney World while working there for the college intern program. Following their elegant wedding, at two of Pittsburgh's most
Submitted by Lori Anderson from Lori Anderson Photographers , Becky & Joe's adorable Balboa Island engagement session, complete with their 10 year old Poodle Buster, looks to be a fun prelude to what's in store for their beach themed wedding which will be held at the Balboa Yacht Club. Becky and Joe met through mutual friends and had their first date on Balboa Island. So this venue definitely holds a special meaning for them. And how cute is it that they had their engagement session there as well? I for one am a sucker for sentimental stuff like that.
Anyhow, enough chit-chat
