I've mentioned before that I'm always on the lookout for places to shoot photographs. You'd be amazed at how difficult it is sometimes to find places where you can shoot without being kicked out or charged or in some cases even ticketed, which I recently found out happened to a photographer friend at a location I've shot at quite often. Scratch that location of my list! Anyhow, having said that, when you find a location like the one in today's engagement session, it's seriously like finding the holy grail.

Hopefully you've noticed so far in my Wednesday's Fab You Bliss Fashion 5 posts that I only feature garments and accessories affordable for everyday people. Shopping this way has always been a key ingredient for me, so I figured I must pass on the process to you. When looking to buy new pieces, I look for quality and items which appear more expensive than they actually cost. I refuse to pay ridiculous prices for anything...that means I will never buy anything over $200, even boots and bags. That's right...I will wait until they go on sale before I spend that kind of money. I just don't think
For most photographers, when a bride and groom choose to do a "First Look" like Aaryn and Ryan have here, it is definitely a good thing. Personally...I think it's an even more special moment between a bride and groom than if they were to wait to see each other at the alter because with a First Look, even though their photographers are close by, and maybe even some of their wedding party as well, doing a First look gives a bride and groom a more private moment to really express their feelings than is usually possible at the alter. Obviously each moment is special in it's own way, however I bring

Photographed by JoPhoto, Chelsey and Austin's Smithview Pavilion wedding, was an absolute detail packed success including bird houses, wood table centerpieces with mason jars filled with bird seed and tea lights, burlap table runners, silverware tied with twine, a “just married” banner draped across the head table, personalized hand fans for all the ceremony guests, and on and on and on! Oh, and their wedding cake had hand made love birds as a cake topper which stood on a wood cake stand as well! And at the end of their wedding celebration, Chelsey and Austin and all of their guests went
Happy Saturday! I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and survived "Black Friday"...if you were out shopping. I know it's unusual that we have a wedding post on Saturday, but since this week is a bit different with the holiday I decided to give you a little surprise post today. This wonderful wedding comes to us from Minneapolis, Minnesota and was beautifully photographed by Karen Feder Photography. Brittany and Jonathan were married at Van Dusen Mansion, a breathtaking, contemporary events center over-flowing with elegance and grandeur situated in downtown Minneapolis. Brittany was
OOOOHHHHHH...I'm so excited to finally be able to share this with you. I have something fantastic for you all starting next week. No really, you certainly should make sure you check back with us on Monday as I've been diligently working on a super secret surprise for you. I mean, I've know about this for several weeks now and it's been killing me not to be able to share it with you. But now I can let out a couple of tiny pieces to excite you all as well.
So rather than wasting anymore time leading up to a great big cliff hanger, I'm just gonna come right out and tell you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow American friends and followers. And for those non-Americans, a happy day to you as well! So since it's Thanksgiving...today we're going to play a little game called, "What are the things you are most grateful for? Now...I'm not just talking about stuff like, you're grateful for your car or you're happy to have a job. And I'm not necessarily talking about tangible things either. No...not stuff like that, as good as they might be and as thankful as you are to have them, what I'm really talking about are the kinds of things which are unique to you...special
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow American friends and followers. And to the non-Americans, a happy day to you as well. Today I'm sharing a lovely little wedding from Sacramento California photographed by Jessica Giblin Photography . Lisa and Jeff were married in a small ceremony among family and friends in an adorable courtyard attached to The Firehouse Restaurant in Downtown Sacramento. You can see the beautiful courtyard in the last image here or by clicking the restaurant's link above. I love Lisa's gown...it is so beautiful with its soft, flowing texture. And how
Grass Valley has to be one of my favorite places in California. As you know, I use to live at Lake Tahoe so there's been many a trip to the Grass Valley area. I just love the quaint, small town, the old buildings and the genuinely friendly people. It doesn't hurt that it's absolutely gorgeous there either, if you like the beautiful outdoors. So I'd say today's couple Candice and James hit a gold rush with their location and their shooter Jacqueline Photographer. Photographed at Empire Mine State Park , the site of the oldest, largest, and richest gold mine in California, Candice and
Growing up, the fashion trends were to match everything. Your top should match your shoes and those should match your purse, yada, yada, yada. Now it's completely opposite and I LOVE that. And while I can't say I go to absolute extremes with mixing colors and patterns, I do like to put unexpected colors together. This outfit is a good example, although the tones are very similar, nothing quite matches...yet it still looks elegant enough to wear to the office or maybe even a night out. To add a little funk to it I might add a pair of colored tights. But since this is my Fab You Bliss
I absolutely adore it when couples get involved in choosing locations and/or concepts for their engagement session, just as bride and groom to be Jessica and Jody did here with their St. Augustine Florida shoot. Photographed by Kelleen Hite at Pure Sugar Studios, Jody knew the owner of the very private, rarely photographed castle where they shot and was able to gain access to it through his connection. Isn't it such a neat location? And how about the beautiful little girl in a few of the images? That's Sophie, she's Jody's two and a half year old daughter and she and Jessica adore each
