Hello my lovely friends and happy Friday to you! I hope you all have some fun, relaxing or productive things planned for the weekend. As for me, well…it’s going to be a productive weekend as I have a few projects around the house I’m still working on, (eh, em…i.e., finish remodeling one of the bathrooms which I started three weeks ago!) Actually I can’t completely finish it this weekend because we still have to order the tub, tile and faucet fixtures. But the things I started…the refinishing of the cabinets, putting on new hardware and repainting, I definitely plan to finish that this weekend. Aaaaaaaaannnnd…I did take some before pictures, so when it’s complete I will share the before and after with you in our Home Improvement section. OH…I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention one of the most important events of this whole year! On Monday it’s our Pupp-Awgs 1st birthday!!! I know, I can’t believe it either…Quinley’s turning one! And I have some surprises in store for her so I will be getting those together over the weekend as well. Pictures of that will arrive next week too, so be sure to stay tuned!
Okay then…now that we’ve straightened out the plans for the weekend, let’s chat about this lovely wedding photographed by Bowersock Photographers ,which I will be bringing to you today in two parts. I know…two parts means you’ll have to come back to see part two, but it’s worth it…I promise. And the reason I’m dividing it up is because the bride, Jessica, created all the recipes and assisted in making all the food for the reception, so I had to share as many pictures of their work as I could. Yes…that’s right, bride and groom Jessica and Kevin held their wedding at Avon Gardens, a gorgeous location, however there was no option to warm food. No problem though, Jessica’s family owns a restaurant and catering business so they opted to serve a selection of hearty salads with sides of crackers, bread sticks and tomato-garbanzo bruschetta. Salads served included a Flank Steak Southwestern, Chicken Caesar, Greek, a Chinese Chicken and an All-American Chef. Women special to the family provide items for a dessert table, which included pineapple upside-down and German chocolate cakes, pies, cookies and more! A highlight treat for guests was the popcorn table. Large glass jars were filled with various delicious flavors (from biscuits & gravy to key lime) made by a local popcorn artisan. Guests drank wine from local vintner, Brown County Winery. And Jessica purchased many items, like her garter, hair piece and the bridesmaids clutches, from Etsy. This wedding is a definite DIY lovely so let’s stop talking and have a look.
