Sia and Jed were married at Peter Pratt’s Inn in Yorktown Heights, New York, a converted colonial home with 200 year old sugar maple trees lining the front of the property. Situated at the battle site and demise of General George Washington’s Northern Continental Command Post to the British Tories in 1781, Peter Pratt’s Inn is rich with history. And such a history has added an ambiance of it’s own to this lovely wedding as the richness brings a sense of home and comfort to the images, as if the property had been passed down through generations of the bride and groom’s family. Such a charming feeling and the wedding itself was every bit as magical. I love how photographer Casey Fatchett of Casey Fatchett Photography has captured their day in a beautiful, relaxed way. And I’m absolutely in love with the flower girl and ring bearer and their mock iPhone fashion shoot…so adorable! Let’s not forget all the florals and Sia’s beautiful bouquet provided by Forever In Bloom. And how about the poster in the style of a comic book cover with Jed as Captain America and Sia as Wonder Woman, how fabulous is that? But I think the best thing said was shared through photographer Casey who said Sia’s Greek mother announced, “First, we eat cake. Then…we break plates!” So awesome!
