If Nicole had her way she’d plan about 20 different weddings with various themes and colors! Luckily, since James was a huge part of the process…he was very helpful in narrowing down ideas. And their wedding style just developed organically as they went through the planning. It started with their venue, which they both fell in love with immediately. The Grove in Sanger, California is outdoors and very rustic which fit their style, then they branched out from there. James’s style is more “modern” and Nicole is more “rustic”, so they blended the two for a “modern-rustic” theme. The modern elements they selected were stripes (in the bride’s dress, bridesmaid dresses, cake, escort cards and invitation font) and chalkboards for table numbers and signs. The rustic elements were the venue, long tables, mason jar floral arrangements, cotton striped dishtowels as napkins and twine. The colors of gray and yellow with a few pops of red worked beautifully and the favors, mini bottles of Limoncillo with a thank you tag tied on the swingtop with twine, all handmade by the Bride, Groom, and Groom’s father, were definitely a huge hit. Photographed by Jennifer Eileen Photography, Nicole and Jame’s wedding was ever they hoped it would be!
