It’s always nice when photographers connect with me via social media like how I connected with today’s wedding photographer. Esther from Esther JuLee Photography and I became Twitter followers a while back. Then, a few weeks ago she sent me today’s beautiful wedding of Fiona and BJ and here we are. And just as I mentioned to Esther, I’m lovin’ these gorgeous bridal images. The light is so pretty. That terrace is perfect for pictures like these!
Anyhow…let’s talk about the bride and groom! Starbucks played a big role in Fiona and BJ’s relationship. That’s where they first met. They had mutual friends and usually met in larger group settings, but their common interests brought the two of them even closer. Their very first conversation was about politics.
BJ always thought Fiona was a beautiful girl, but was even more captivated when she could hold her own in conversation. And yes, the Australian accent could have been part of her allure . But he was convinced that she was out of his league, so it took another three months of being friends before he mustered up the courage to ask her out.
They were back at starbucks. He asked her out. She said yes. And then he bolted before she could give him her number. He had to keep going back hoping to run into her, until they met again. This time he did get her number. That was March of 2006. Since then they did everything together. They spent most their time reading, frequenting coffee shops, cooking together and eating out.
Then, one St Patrick’s day, BJ proposed to her. He had no idea it was a holiday 😉
