Happy Monday everyone! I’m pretty much working on zero sleep at the moment as we didn’t get home until nearly 1:00 am this morning after yesterday’s “Love Is an Adventure Workshop“. But it was all worth it as the workshop and shoot was a complete success! I’m so happy to have met so many wonderful new people and I am honored to have had the opportunity to share with the attendees the ‘Ins and Outs’ of getting published. If by chance you missed this workshop, you are in luck as there will be another one in September with a different theme! Once I have the details I will announce them here so you can be sure to sign up. And of course, in a day or two I will share a few images from yesterday to show what you missed 😉
But for now…let’s talk about today’s wedding. Sunflowers are definitely a favorite of mine. And with the help of a friend, Susan and Nate made great use of them in their fun and intimate DIY farm wedding photographed by Brett Alison Photography. The bride and groom’s friend was the officiant and the couple wrote their own vows. Susan wore her grandmother’s wedding dress and she also screenprinted the guys’ ties. The couple also made the wedding favors, homemade jalapeno salsa…yum! And since the tablecloths were actually paper, each guest’s name was written at the appropriate seat and there were crayons for everyone to decorate their own place setting once they sat. If you’re looking to have an intimate, do-it-yourself wedding, this one is a great one to emulate!
