A Bold & Brightly Colored Sand Hollow Resort Engagement Session

There’s a pretty popular trend among photographers right now to wash everything out using Photoshop actions or sometimes even over-exposing images to get the white washed look. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s a beautiful style and it’s imperative for a photographer to have a look if they want to be successful. I’m just saying I’ve seen and featured a lot of the lightly toned images so it’s nice to show off something a little different. Yep, and today’s engagement session is fully colored eye popping candy…and I love it!

Kate Spade with her bold colors, patterns, clean lines and crisp look are behind the inspiration for this gorgeous couple’s upcoming summer wedding. Shealeen and Spencer love all things summer, so it fit perfectly that they are going to tie the knot during their favorite time of year. For their engagement session it was important to give a glimpse into the upcoming wedding and excite guests about the party they have in the works!

If these two love anything, (besides each other), it is having fun! So their wedding is not only going to be a chance for them to pledge their love to each other but it is going to be a PARTY! For this session, together with photographer Abbey Kyhl from AK Studio & Design, they thought what better way to show a summer feel than to give a glimpse into their lives. Visiting a gorgeous vacation resort, hitting the links and going off-roading are just a few of their favorite activities which set a perfect scene for this bright summer engagement session. And with a gorgeous couple who are so happy in love with each other, everything just turned out perfect!
