How To Make a Fun Jewelry Display Hanger with Assorted Pieces of Cabinet Hardware

I’m not much for putting accessories away in drawers or jewelry boxes as I tend to forget about things if I can’t see them. So another feature I designed for my soon to be revealed “Closet Room” is an accessories station where I’ll have my jewelry, scarves, purses and sunglasses hung on the wall or out on a shelf. For the jewelry part of the the accessory station I needed something strong and sturdy enough hang some of my heavier necklaces, so I decided to make this hanger with an unfinished decorative wood panel and 12 different pieces of cabinet hardware.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED IF YOU WANT TO MAKE ONE OF THESE TOO

1 Unfinished decorative wood panel

Assorted pieces of hardware

Sanding sponge

Spray paint + primer

Drill

HERE’S HOW TO MAKE IT

STEP 1: Sand down surface and corners of wood panel until it’s at a texture you like. Then primer and paint it the color of your choice. (FYI…if you prefer the unfinished look, you can leave it plain and save yourself a step.)

STEP 2: Take your assorted hardware pieces and lay them out on your sanded and painted panel until you find a configuration you like. I found it really beneficial to take a picture of the way I had them laid out with my iPhone so I could refer back to it later.

STEP 3: Measure and mark where you need to drill for your hardware pieces. Drill holes.

STEP 4: Refer back to the image you took with your phone and screw in your hardware pieces accordingly.

STEP 5: Hang your new jewelry hanger on a wall of your choosing and start dangling your beautiful pieces for all to see!

What do you think?

Can’t wait to show you the rest of the room.

Thanks for stopping by!
