Fall Fashion & Feminine Touches…Please Don’t Put Away The Pretty

When the leaves begin to fall and the weather turns cooler, it’s common for a lot of women to put away the whites, the lace and all the frilly materials that are popular in the warmer months. I’m not sure why, it just seems typical to opt for darker colors and of course heavier fabrics. And let’s face it, sometimes our cold weather wear isn’t too pretty. Believe me, my wardrobe is completely guilty of this as well. But this year I’m going to make a conscious effort to keep the pretty going throughout the year.

Just because it’s cold and blustery out, doesn’t mean you can’t wear white or lace or chiffon. Yes, you’ll have to layer…but admit it, that’s fun too. And most of the time you’ll be inside so it’ll be easy.

So to help make sure your outfits stay pretty year round, here are some lovely items to be sure to keep in your closet.

I’m really loving all the lace this year. But there’s no need to put it away now that we’re into fall…even if you live in freezing temperatures. Just wear the lovely material with some tights if it’s a skirt or a dress, a warm sweater if its in the form of pants or a cardigan if it happens to be a blouse. In my opinion, a flowy polka dot blouse screams femininity. Polka dots in general remind me of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Audrey Hepburn and we all know those two were absolute icons of feminine.
