Happy November everyone! It’s the first day of Quinley month. Yep, our little fur baby’s turning 2 in seven days. And just like her mommy & daddy…we celebrate the whole month!
And why not start the celebration by thinking about this year’s holiday decor. It’s never too early to start thinking about the holidays, is it? It is November after all. And in my opinion by this time you should be free and clear to start decorating whenever you want 
At least that’s what I tell The Hubby when he rolls his eyes at the boxes of decorations which have suddenly appeared in our living room…haha!
Clearly I’m obsessed with this time of year. If you are too…you’ve come to the right place. Because over the next month or so, I’ll have tons of stuff holiday related…woohoo!!!
Today I’m sharing some porch, mantel & tree ideas to help spur your inner holiday happy. It’s ready to come out, isn’t it?
This Poinsettia flanked front door from Centsational Girl with red and silver brimming over is absolutely GORGEOUS and oh so festive. And if you look close enough, you can see a little kid peeking out of the right side window. So cute!
Going a more natural tone route, the mantel below would be an amazing choice to emulate as well.
Pottery barn never fails with their holiday decor. And the image below is no exception. I love all the lanterns lined up along the pathway.

The white lights of the front porch below are exactly what I’d do if we had this kind of entry. It’s so classic and chic…LOVE it!

I love the DIY sign above the mantel in the image below. Gosh it makes me want a mantel for our fireplace even more!
I know stringing all these holiday balls would take an enormous amount of time, but I just LOVE the finished look…don’t you?
I love the rustic look of the living room below. I think I’m going to use this image as my inspiration for this year’s decor…yeah!
Ahhhh….a red front door is so perfect to have at the holidays. If you have one, you’re already half way decorated. Just add some garland and ornaments and you’re done! 
Or you can add a few more fancy touches like the image below from Southern Living.
Okay…now here’s a fireplace VERY near to the look of ours. Only we don’t have a mantel at all and with the rock, it’s really hard to figure out how to add one. I love the look of this though!
This is a really cute idea! Everyone has vases lying around the house, right? Well…don’t let them sit around collecting dust during this time of year. Fill them with colorful beads and DIY’d material like shown below. I can’t tell you how many vases I have around our house…SOOOO many. So I’m putting this on my list of holiday DOs as well!
Again, another gorgeous mantel-scape I’d love to do but can’t…boo. I think I’m drawn to these simply because I CAN’T achieve the look…haha!
WOW-WEEE, this tree and staircase are GORGEOUS! I love all the blue, silver and brown!

At some point this holiday season I’m going to get an image of me, Quinley and The Hubby all in front of our tree just like the image below. Isn’t this tree spectacular? It’s like a beacon of light!
Awe…look at our little girl below. She’s so used to me taking pictures of her as she’s had a camera in her face pretty much everyday since we brought her home at eight weeks old. I can get her to do anything while I take pictures. Case in point, these two images below. Oh, she’s so patient with me

LOVE!!!!!! So, when can you come to Bakersfield and decorate my house for me? Seriously.
Last year I made some ornament garlands and they were really pretty. However, they are heavy so anchor them appropriately… I may or may not have had a cat/garland incident.
