I love it when I have the opportunity to feature weddings where every detail has a purpose and they all come together in a beautiful theme. Alicia and Ben’s wedding theme was centered around literature with many classic novels dispersed throughout the venue and reception area.
As beautiful as their theme was though, the most important aspect of their wedding was the family element revolving around their son, Khonrad. This day was not just about Alicia and Ben. To the newlyweds, it was just as important to celebrate their new family coming together as a whole. One of the favorite details of their day was the wedding program, which was designed and drawn by Khonrad. Another especially unique detail was the rehearsal bouquet, made up of buttons from the bride’s grandmother’s sewing kit. So cute!

It was also important to Alicia to coordinate her overall wedding aura with the venue’s historic, rustic appeal. She specifically mentioned one of the reasons she fell in love with her dress was how well the elaborate lace and charm matched the feel and look of Serra Plaza itself. It paired especially well with the classic white bridal bouquet and rich reds of the surrounding floral decorations.
Jacquelyn Rachel Photography worked as the second photographer for Alicia and Ben’s gorgeous wedding and she was kind enough to share these lovely images with us today. Hope you enjoyed them.
