Did you hear? Emerald is the color of 2013! Woohoo…and such a pretty color it is! But what does this mean for you? Well…it means whatever you want it to be. But one thing is for certain…soon you’ll be seeing emerald, (and various other shades of green), everywhere!
Personally I love that each year there’s a new color to focus on. I don’t particularly buy into the belief that everything in my house and wardrobe needs to be revamped to match whatever the “it” color is. But I do like revitalizing things out of the back of the closet that happen to be THE color. And every once in a while I’m thrilled if a new piece in the favored hue finds it’s way home with me from one of my favorite stores.
So…I thought I’d post some fashion inspirations for tying emerald, (and some other shades of green), into your everyday wardrobe.
A little green circle skirt like this with a black shirt, tights and boots topped off with a fab animal print scarf is a super cute style!

Talbots always has stylish options that appeal to me. The outfit below is no exception. But the reason I included it here is because of the green bag. Such a stylish way to add a little green to an otherwise green-less outfit 
Oh-my-oh-my…these sparkly emerald green shoes are simply fab! I could see wearing them with so many different things. With jeans and a blazer or dress pants and a cute sweater. Or perhaps combined with a sexy little dress. The options are endless.
I’m lovin’ the little school-girl collar on this pretty dress. It’s not exactly emerald, but sure fits into the various shades of pretty green category!
This beaded necklace is clearly one of the “other” shades of green, but nonetheless is is absolutely stunning. Don’t you agree? I’ve been eyeing it for months now!
Lace dresses are a big ‘must have’ on my list right now. And this green one is quickly climbing to the top!
