THE EXPERIENCE 2013

To give you a little background, The Experience 2013 was a workshop we designed to help show photographers “How To Get Published” or get published more. I was thrilled to team up with this amazing group of people including bloggers, Lauren from Every Last Detail, Megan from Glamour & Grace and Christie from Mountainside Bride, and panel photographers Justin DeMutiis Photography, Kristin La Voie Photography, Kristen Weaver Photography, and Shalyn Kettering of Two Bright Lights. The day was split up into two parts, the instruction and table design shoot and the instruction desert shoot. For the table shoot, all of us bloggers designed different tables to be photographed by the attendees as part of the workshop “Experience”. We all wanted our tables to be different than one another, yet we wanted one element to tie them together. We decided on gold as the color that would bond us all together.
Today, each of us are showcasing images from the tables we designed that were photographed by the photographer attendees and panel photographers. As for the “theme” of my table, I was going for a rustic beach feel. I made the rock vases out of Pringles containers. You can find the tutorial for them here. The smaller vases were made with twine and glue wrapped around coffee cans. And the hurricane candles were ones I kept from my own wedding which we use in our home as decor. I also picked the succulents used on the edge of each napkin from our garden at home.
Before we get into the beautiful images below, there are a few extraordinary people who deserve special thanks for all the work they put into make this amazing event happen. First off, wedding planner extraordinaire Juliet Douglas of Green Orchid Events went above and beyond to make so much of this happen. We can’t thank her enough! Also, Catherine Thompson, the creative genius behind the stunning floral studio Layers of Lovely, did a brilliant job of coordinating with each blogger to create the beautiful masterpiece of flowers that became such a big part of each of our tables. And an extra special thanks has to go out to Mina Oliva the incredibly talented wedding gown designer who provided the gorgeous gown you will see in the next post today. And thank you to the lovely ladies at Bella Bridesmaid for providing us with several options to choose from for our engagement model. And finally, I have to thank Jenae Bingham of Matinae Design Studios for her brilliant creativity in helping my vision come to life on paper!
Now, let’s take a look at some of the amazing images photographed of my table design!

Beautiful!!! Woohoo Pringles cans!
Really beautiful work Stephanie – congrats on a job well done!
These are awesome. What’s inside the “message in a bottle” that dub as table numbers? Is that a message to guests or is it just there for decor?
There’s a little love poem about weddings inside the bottle. It’s nothing anyone can really read, except for a few words here and there. I just did it for the look…and that I knew there was a love poem in there. 🙂
I think the poem is a really nice touch and so unique. I’m officially obsessed with this idea 🙂
Thank you! I thought it was a fun touch as well 🙂

I loved seeing all of this come together!
Being in Las Vegas, we rarely have beach themed weddings. I’ve forgotten how much fun a beach themed wedding can be. Beautiful work on your table.
It was such a creative idea to use Pringles containers in your tablescape. I hope you had help eating them! 🙂
Haha…at first I was going to just put the chips in another container for my husband and I to get to whenever we could. Unfortunately we ate through both cans pretty quick. Once you pop…you just can’t stop. Glad you liked the design. And again, thank you so much for your help!
Ha! Once you pop…you just can’t stop! You are so welcome! I enjoyed being a part of this!
Totally inspiring, fresh and beautiful. Thank you for sharing such a lovely seascape table!
