Are you looking to create a theme for your wedding that will convey something about you and your fiance? Then it’s your lucky day. Today’s inspiration shoot, photographed by Seriously Sabrina Photography, shows how to bring both the bride and groom’s likes together with incredible details. The shoot is called “The Seamstress and the Watchmaker”. The bride, a seamstress, has sewing details incorporated into her sash, flowers with a pin cushion, her flowers, which are wrapped with vintage measuring tape, and her bridesmaid’s flowers which are wrapped with a small golden dress form.
The groom is a watchmaker. He is wearing a beautiful watch and has watchmaker vials, gears and other watch pieces that make up his boutonniere. Other elements of the day combine both themes. The cake is decorated with gears and measuring tape, which sits on top of an antique sewing machine surrounded by watchmaker’s glass, flowers adorned with watch piece accents, a clock and watchmaker gear piece boxes. The sweetheart table is set with an assortment of gorgeous flowers, vintage bottles, a table number made from a small dress form with clock hands creating the number, menus with clock hands, sewing elements scattered across the table, a tall grandfather clock at the base of the table with a box of flowers accented with sewing details. And the flower bottles are decorated by a wrapped vintage measuring tape, which beautifully ties the whole table together.
As for the paper products, they also incorporate both themes beautifully. The RSVP card is a pocket watch tucked inside a pocket shaped envelope. The invites say “you are sew invited”, “wind your watches”, and the save the date cards also have the theme of time. The place cards are themed to both inspirations. The flowers bouquets and boutonnieres are full of flowers the compliment a soft color palette with a punch of color. The windows in the location act as a gorgeous backdrop and compliment the vintage inspired details of this shoot.
