Today’s beautiful bride Jenny and handsome groom Russ are from the San Francisco Bay area. But they wanted a “natural, vintage” wedding, as Jenny playfully coined it, so they opted to hold their wedding in the mountains at Yosemite’s 1920s built Wawona Hotel.
The flowers they chose were a mix of very earthy, natural colors, with white, ivory, muted greens and yellows, as well as a mix of succulents. Photographed by Rachel McNamara Photography, Jenny and Russ wanted to make sure their wedding reflected both of them and their likes, so in addition to Jenny’s decor ideas, since Russ is a big game lover, especially poker, they infused a bit of game playing into their reception tables and created escort cards using playing cards. Cute idea, huh? And they added a very symbolic and sweet hand-knotting act to their ceremony which was very touching and unique.
