Today’s simply divine wedding was photographed by the lovely team at Vitalic Photo and I promise you’re going to be so happy you stopped by to see it!
It started with a telling image of the happy couple bearing handcrafted signs showing their names and date to be married. With that, Allison and Kyle proudly announced their July 27, 2013 wedding to be held at The Moorings Yacht & Country Club in Vero Beach Florida. What followed was even better!
While Kyle and his groomsmen wore classic tuxes from Paul Morrel, the bridesmaids were stylishly outfitted in the loveliest Gianni Bini frocks from Dillards. And Allison couldn’t have been more stunning in her absolutely perfect lace Essence of Australia gown.
Lush groupings of peonies, roses, hydrangeas and leafy greens in shades from ice gray to dark green added an extra dash of elegant southern romance to both the ceremony and reception. And the sweet little flower girls in their Pink Princess dresses were as pretty as royalty indeed. To top it all, the wonderful handcrafted hearts in shades of pink and mint used as escorts – made by Allison and her mother – helped complete overall lovely ambiance as well.

For some behind the scenes from the bride – here’s a bit from Allison herself…
“After dating two years in high school and surviving three years at different colleges, we both knew that after our senior years at Clemson and Auburn we would be together forever!
I am not easily surprised, but with the help of some of my friends, Kyle was able to completely surprise me and propose in the Fall of 2012. We knew that we would get married in Vero Beach, FL, the town where we both grew up and also where we met each other. We knew that having a summertime wedding meant one thing – indoors. Luckily our reception venue, The Moorings Club, is a naturally beautiful spot located right on the Indian River. Even with the perfect setting of the club and beautiful interior, I knew that I still wanted to add some DIY touches. My mom and I had such a blast punching out hundreds of heart-shaped escort cards and handwriting them. We also re-finished our card box as well as some picture frames to match the colors of the wedding. We decided to have guests leave notes for us in a handcrafted scrapbook with miniature envelopes rather than use a traditional guestbook. It was so much fun to read the responses our guests left to some of our prompts!
Most of my inspiration came from following wedding blogs and pins on Pinterest. I knew I wanted a soft, elegant feel for the day which is why I chose to use lots of pink and ivory flowers as well as the mercury glass accents. Our florist did an amazing job helping choose flowers that would add some texture to the centerpieces and bouquets.
After unsuccessfully looking at tons of bridal shops for the perfect bridesmaid dress, we were so lucky to find the perfect dress on a sale rack at Dillards! They were exactly the color I wanted, flattering for everyone, and a little bit different from a typical bridesmaid dress. My dress did not take long at all to find. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was exactly what I wanted. My mom and grandmother were with me when I found it and both agreed that it reflected my style and personality perfectly.
We still cannot get over how smoothly our wedding day was and how perfect everything came together! We were so surprised and pleased at how relaxed we were the whole day!
Some of our favorite moments include: spending the day getting ready with my mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids, seeing each others faces as I walked down the isle, sharing some laughs together during the ceremony as we spilled hot wax during the unity candle lighting, having a moment to gather with our immediate family and bridal party after the ceremony, getting to spend time during the whole week with so many special family members and friends from out-of-town and in-town, spending the night on the dance floor, and leaving the reception by boat!”
Thanks for stopping by!

I love hanging moss – so Southern! Adorable flower girls, too.
Such a beautiful location – how amazing to be able to have both Spanish moss, and beautiful waterfront palms as a backdrop! I’m also in love with those bridesmaid dresses — the color is perfect and I really like that short sleeve look!
