Before I started working as a wedding blogger, about five years ago I received an invitation to a friend’s wedding that was to be held on a Saturday morning in October. Morning?, I thought. Hi Melissa, yes…I’m talking about you!
Anyhow, I thought it was strange. I mean, besides all of you lovelies across the pond, who in the gets married in the morning? I just thought it seemed out of place for our generation. But oh how wrong I was!
Since my friend’s stunning morning fête, and thousands of weddings I’ve featured, worked on and viewed, I’ve come to really love and appreciate the uniqueness of the morning wedding.

Talk about a labor of love, this entire wedding was designed and made possible by the bride’s friends.
Regan’s dear friend Hillary designed the paper goods, and practically the entire event from top to bottom, along with the flowers too! Since Regan and Cesar live in Seattle, Hillary put the event together for them while they were afar.
Before the wedding, Hillary put the flowers together over two days before the wedding — first with help from the bride and some of her friends and then, on the second day, with assistance from her friend Kelly who owns Fleur in Logan Square (she did the boutonnieres).
In my opinion, there are many lovely ideas here to draw inspiration from. The light pink ombre cake, the fresh cut flowers in bottles and glasses, the adorable button escorts and the creative favors and programs.
Like said, a labor of love indeed!
Thanks for stopping by!
