I can spot a Betsy Johnson dress from a mile away. Case in point, when today’s glamorous black and gold Betsy Johnson Inspired shoot came in, I instantly knew the dress was by the famed designer. Her telltale feminine and whimsical style simply oozes from this festive frock. And lucky for us, everything else in this shoot was designed around it.
With this dress in mind, Harmony Lynn Photography and the talented group of vendors who helped put this shoot together, decided to go glam with pops of gold on top of a chic white and black palette. Zamora Hair Design created the gorgeous up-do paired with makeup by Joanna of In 2 Your Beauty Makeup Artistry. Joanna also had the fun idea to airbrush lace on the model Angel’s skin which turned into a beautiful display of airbrushed jewelry. And her stunning eye makeup had a punch of gold that made her eyes simply pop.

Throughout the shoot the team called it the “Paper Shoot” because what started out as a simple floral paper wall turned into this 10′ paper monster that inspired other pieces of the puzzle. The paper wall was comprised of over 100 pieces of hand folded scrapbook paper which Candice from Best Little Cakehouse in Melbourne, added to her three tier masterpiece. Angel’s bouquet was a mixture of hand created paper/crepe flowers. MazziFlowers on etsy sent the incredibly detailed peonies all the way from Poland. And Just Invite Me on etsy created the ultra modern and glittery invitation suite.
