When it comes to designing a wedding for nature lovers, Cedarwood Designers shows that ‘green’ can be bold and elegant with these wonderful pops of gold and modern styling.
Photographed by Kristyn Hogan, today’s bride wears an elegant and sleek, custom-made gown and headpiece from heirloom lace, showing that vintage resources can be used to create a dramatic modern look. Instead of a traditional bouquet, the team designed a bridal garland, blending a boho vibe with organic drama. And a gold tipped fern boutonniere for the groom’s linen suit added subtle drama as well to his otherwise classic clothing.

Fern garlands were continued in styling the ceremony and reception décor. Tall, gold candlesticks enveloped by white roses and feathery ferns in rich emerald hues provide visual depth, while a few gold tipped ferns add a decadent touch. A gold tipped frond tucked into napkins with gold flatware is a regal welcome for dinner guests, while a donation announcement to The Nature Conservancy conveys the bride and groom’s commitment to a green Earth.
Gold foil invitations and paper goods are elegantly simple with a fern motif, as is the similarly gold stamped cake. Natural fresh wreaths and foliage adorn walls and chair backs for a perfect dramatic-organic wedding reception design.
