As you will read in the description below, Renee Hollingshead Photography created this beach Mermaid wedding inspiration using colors of teal, gold and silver to represent the “watercolors” of the ocean mixed with magical riches and treasures of the sea.
This beautiful beach inspiration ties casual glamour with vintage romance in an effortlessly lovely way.

I’ve always wanted to be a mermaid ever since I was a little girl. There is something so peaceful, calming, and relaxing spending the day by the water.
I was inspired to style this shoot by their mesmerizing beauty, the colors of the ocean, and a little modern vintage twist. It’s the perfect relaxed reception with floor seating on the beach, a beautiful view, sweet treats, and a stunning couple. Whether on your waterfront property as photographed here or on the beaches of a tropical island, this shoot will give you coastal glam.
Our bride is the non-traditional woman that is a little more edgy and daring. She rocks this gorgeous double-v, long-sleeved sequin gown, mermaid-inspired hair, and a gorgeous teal eyeliner that makes her eyes pop. She is hipster but glamorous and sweet but breathtaking. All of these elements that are the epitome of a mermaid. Our groom is your guy that likes to stand out. Unlike traditional beach-wedding attire, he plays a modern twist on black-tie attire on a sandy venue. We love the pop of black on the soft sand beach and blue skies.
Our place card table is a beautiful vintage piece with modern decorative elements. We love that we made something vintage look new and we especially love that it looks like a beautiful shipwreck washed-up on the beach.. It’s a beautiful pop of color that matches the “watercolors” of the ocean with pops of gold and silver just like treasure. It’s important to utilize all of your resources; that’s why we’ve turned our place card table into a sweet treat bar. It features delicious handmade truffles (Sea Salt, Tiramisu, Ginger, Lavender, Jasmine Tea, and Jamaican Rum-infused), personalized cookies, meringues, and macaroon favors.
We hope to inspire brides to take risks, add a little glam, get comfy, and cozy up by your loved one for a romantic beach reception. There’s a way to make something so romantic very affordable. Majority of the items were either purchased at local home stores such as HomeGoods, Marshalls, and Pier 1 Imports. In addition, we spray painted gold sea shells and white iron thrift chairs, painted white wooden crates + shadow boxes, watercolored place cards and dinner napkins, and hand wrote place cards in a shimmery gold ink using modern calligraphy.
We hope you enjoyed!
