There’s something so special about a southern wedding. Maybe its the Spanish moss or the magnolia trees, or it could quite possibly be the golden light that filters in creating beautiful opportunities for amazing shots like these from Lisa and Josh’s Magnolia Plantation and Gardens wedding.
Using the bride’s favorite colors of orange and peach along with ivory, the couple envisioned a very rustic chic soiree with a twist of southern charm. They used different sized lanterns along with garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, gardenias, succulents, Spanish moss, and magnolia leaves as well as ivory drapery hanging throughout the carriage house and lights wrapped around beams inside and outside on the patio.
And with Richard Bell Photography behind the lens, this wedding was a special southern charmer indeed.

From The Bride:
Lisa moved to Charleston,SC in 2001 for a travel nursing assignment at MUSC. The contract was only for 3 months, Lisa fell in love with Charleston and stayed for 4 1/2 years. She ended up moving and continuing her travel nursing throughout the country and eventually moved back to her hometown of Baltimore, MD.
Josh and Lisa started dating 4 1/2 years ago and Lisa took Josh to Charleston for his birthday in 2012. This was Josh’s first trip to Charleston and he too fell in love with the beauty and charm of Charleston. On one of their trips to Charleston, they went to Magnolia Plantation (which was Lisa’s favorite plantation). They instantly knew that whenever they got married that they would have their destination wedding at Magnolia Plantation.
