For their wedding, American bride Jacqueline and British groom Gareth had cute ‘travel’ themed props such as a luggage for love notes, and airport tags for table numbers. They also wanted their British side of the family to feel welcomed in California, so during the cocktail hour, they were treated with fish and chips, as well as small tea sandwiches. And to honor the way they met, (read their fun story below), check out the groom’s cake as well. And with photography by Shelly Anderson Photography their happy day was nothing short of perfect!

Jacqueline is a cute Southern California girl who happened to meet a handsome British boy in an African safari truck while on holiday in Africa climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. They kept in touch casually, but wasn’t until months later when Gareth was invited to Las Vegas for his friends stag party. While in Las Vegas, the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull erupted, canceling his flight back home. He decided to give that cute California girl a call, and luckily she answered. They spent the next few days together before Gareth could fly back home, and that is when they fell in love. Jacqueline, determined to keep what they had going, moved to London to continue her studies. Now they were finally living in the same country. A few years later they decided to marry on the cliffs on Del Mar in California. The week leading up to their wedding, another Icelandic volcano erupted, as if from all the way across the world, everyone was routing for this adorable couple. As if their world travels were not enough, Jacqueline and Gareth just got back from their honeymoon, in Bora Bora!
