The beautiful state of New Mexico is truly unique. It offers a plethora of different landscapes, from the lush green of the Rio Grande to dry desert flanked by the most spectacular mountains. This styled bridal shoot, photographed by Maura Jane Photography, was inspired by what makes New Mexico unique and it incorporated many of those qualities.
Santa Fe is known for its beautiful turquoise, so it was tied into the floral decor and dress. Staying away from a typical western look, the team used a delicate beaded belt to accent the dazzling lace gown that accentuated Monique’s lovely collarbones. In addition, the floral crown and bouquet donned desert flowers and succulents and was accented with real turquoise stones. The location for the shoot was against the Sandia Mountains, named after a beautiful pink glow it attains at sunset. All in all, this desert bridal shoot felt completely magical, a perfect fit for the “Land of Enchantment.”
