This marsala and succulent styled wedding shoot photographed by Traci J. Brooks Studios was a collaboration of both new and veteran wedding vendors. The team chose to use Pantone’s color of the year – Marsala – as the starting point for their creativity. What came out was this delightful shoot with lush greenery and succulents, woodsy details, a loose-but-structured bridal hair design and an elegant dessert bar with mini-cheesecakes and a naked cake, plus much more.
The Inn at Vint Hill provided a beautiful setting for our shoot. Each room provided a unique backdrop from the shoot from the sun-drenched upper veranda to the billiards room, to the main dining room for receptions. The unique details of this historic manor truly set the scene for the rest of the shoot.
The floral design was a collaboration of graphic designer Ribbons & Bluebirds and event planner Candice Jeanne Coordination. They structured beautiful bouquets and a birdcage centerpiece filled with greenery, succulents and crimson blooms. A simple tussie mussie of pink roses and greenery served as the bridesmaid’s bouquet.
The invitation suite designed by Jenn of Ribbons & Bluebirds features hand-drawn calligraphy and a custom monogram for the couple. The birch backing on the invitation tied into the woodsy theme. She also designed a sign for the signature cocktails and place cards for the table settings.
Sweet Pearlz Cheesecakes provided a scrumptious dessert bar of mini-cheesecakes with a port wine gelee to tie in the marsala color, as well as a naked cake decorated with loose flowers. The table design is credited to Regina McRae, Table Consultant for Sweet Pearlz Cheesecakes.
Capital Party Rentals provided the linens and table settings. They used rustic chargers for a simple white china setting, with touches of silver and pewter to add a little shine to the settings.
The beautiful bridal dress and bridesmaid’s gown were provided by Jeanette’s Bride ‘N Boutique. The Romona Keveza dress (style #5101) was a sleek yet romantic soft white gown with stunning lace details. The bridesmaid wore a Da Vinci bridesmaid’s dress (style #60142) in marsala.
