Nouveau Events and Andrew & Tianna created a shoot reminiscent of North Carolina summers to encapsulate the idea of walking a horse down a dusty dirt road, traveling across the pasture and down into the woods for an intimate wedding ceremony between two people deeply in love.
I love the natural beauty of the bride with her minimal makeup and freckles, and the bridesmaid’s dresses are absolutely lovely. Together with a handsome groom, gorgeous florals and one awesome cake, this shoot is the perfect representation of a summer woodsy wedding in North Carolina.
From The Planner:
With this wedding inspiration shoot, I wanted to create a wedding that was a genuine reflection of a “Chapel in the Woods.” The wedding ceremony space evolved naturally as we used wooden doors with greenery and the towering trees to create a wedding chapel. The leaves created a natural canopy enveloping the bride and groom.
We used berry colored rose petals to create a lush aisle with simple farmhouse benches as guest seating. Instead of creating a full backdrop, I wanted the beautiful scenery of the pond and trees to frame the couple. The bride wore a long, soft tulle THEIA gown that was reminiscent of sweet sophistication while the groom was dapper in white and gray complete with a grey checkerboard bow tie and brown Italian leather shoes.
Bridesmaids wore dresses in the soft palette of blush and old lavender from Bella Bridesmaids to softly accentuate each of their skin tones. The bride and bridesmaids carried brightly colored bouquets of garden roses, ranunculus and peonies that combined garden elegance with relaxed greenery.
From there, I created a tablescape under the trees that combined rustic touches such as the farmhouse table including mismatched seating with chalkboard calligraphy from Hobnob Occasions, and an iron chandelier. The brass flatware, crisp white china, and wine colored napkins added a natural touch as I did not want the table to compete with the beauty of the lush berry and blush florals.
As for the centerpieces, I wanted it be authentic as if the flowers had been picked right out of the field and the stemmed votive candle holders gave a dainty touch to the masculine table top elements. Each place setting was adorned with a mini wedding cake complete with sugar flowers, gold foil and fresh fruit accents.
The rustic additions and signage were customized to bring in rustic elements, while the script allowed the pieces to maintain an elegant feel. Designed by Amore, the invitation suite used the berry, burgundy and gray hues and was inspired by the elegant glamor of the rose.
