With the idea of doing several bouquet looks as well as a centerpiece that overflows onto the table, Deedie of Springvine Design, Ines of Sky’s The Limit Custom Cakes, and Casey of Casey Hendrickson Photography set out to create an indie meets glam look. For florals, they used lots of greenery with pops of yellows, whites, peaches, and a dab of pink to create three separate bouquets, all beautiful and unique, and tied with homemade and silk ribbons. And each girl’s hair was adorned with a flower crown and sprigs from a single vine to create unity.
From the photographer:
Our tablescape was a sweetheart table built from barn wood, held gorgeous and mixed plates from Anthropologie, vintage pressed glasses, unique gold chargers, and we draped a sari as the tablecloth. For our hand-painted wedding cake, we went with a more bold choice of using darker colors and light gold ribbon to accent the colors used among the table and arrangements. The dresses we used almost sat on the edge of a bohemian feel, but still had that pop of glam in the beaded areas.
We added in the rustic barn backdrop complete with a floral spray, which surprisingly and abstractly resembles the world map to match the antique globe as decor, across the back wall, and even a small little chandelier above. The suede berry colored shoes from Modcloth and the gold geometric earrings from J Crew were the perfect touches to the full look, as well as matching boutonnieres placed elegantly on a designed plate to bring in touches of blues here and there. Our surprise guests (the horses) definitely added some sweet moments into this session, and followed us around their fence, willing to greet us every chance they had!
