Something New For I Do dreamt up this concept and design with inspiration from a new Atlanta-area wedding venue, The Corner District that was captured by Kelly Anne Photography. The venue’s historic warehouse, which once served as the General Store’s trading post and storage facility for corn and cotton, has been rehabilitated to an intimate gathering space that reflects a past era.
To create a truly nostalgic ambiance, opt for warm hues and vintage furniture and decor. Duke Levvy Design and Decor created an adorably cozy and styled seating area that tied in the era beautifully with the addition of antique books, mismatched lounge seating, and multiple globes and maps. When recreating this look, scout out a couple key statement pieces that are true to your theme – whether for seating, decor, or serving food or drinks. The attention to detail is what is going to set the tone.
The Prissy Plate styled our estate table with glassware, china and vintage bottles in shades of gold, giving this hardy supper provided by Center Cut Catering an old world feel. Sugar Sugar Cake Designs further enforced the gold color palette with her petite wedding cakes, perfect for an intimate affair.
These simple and classic flower arrangements by Amanda Jenkins were made from pink and white roses and a touch of greenery, designed to tie in this romantic vintage look. The lace on our bride’s bouquet was a special addition inspired by her Carrie’s Bridal Collection gown, as well as her vintage gauntlets and birdcage veil, handmade by Marka Decor.
