At bridal fashion week in NYC this past fall, it was clear that colored bridal dresses were going to be a big hit in the coming months. Since then I’ve seen quite a few blush colored wedding gowns in both submitted weddings and inspiration shoots. But today’s feature is the first shoot I’ve seen with a blue bridal gown and I’m really loving it. Plus, this shoot was shot right down the coast from where I live, so that’s fun too!
Photographed by Wedding Nature Photography, this shoot was set on an oceanfront bluff with sweeping panoramas of the Pacific. Malibu Beach is undeniably one of the most incredible beaches in California, if not the world. The inspiration for this Leo Carrillo Beach photo shoot was born out of the gorgeous setting. The team envisioned a dreamy barefoot bride and a soft, romantic feel. In between North Beach and Leo Carrillo’s South Beach, there is a rocky area with an “escape factor”, known as Sequit Point, which has tide pools and textured caves where the team explored with their model bride.
Alison from La Petite Gardenia designed a stunning loose and organic bouquet with a soft and fluffy texture of blooms in white, yellow, and sage colors, and flower crown with touches of white, cream and yellow for a perfect airy look. This beautiful, natural setting combined with the dusky blue BHLDN gown conveys a timeless yet new and inspiring look, ideal for the fine art and classic style loving bride.
