For this romantic industrial wedding inspiration, Morgan Miller Photography decided to combine two seeming opposites. She chose to mix an industrial vibe, which can sometimes give off a hard, cold feel, with a romantic style. And the combination couldn’t have blended more perfectly.
Currently, Kansas City seems as if it’s surrounded by construction and growth. And as the community grows, this team of wedding vendors wanted to show that same kind of bond between two people. They kept the palate pretty simple which allowed them to have some colorful pops in the flowers. At the time of the shoot, they were having unseasonably warm temperatures for February and March, so they were able to venture out for a few photos. This construction area is actually on Morgan’s way to her studio, and she had been eyeing it for about a week. She wanted to shoot the mounds of gravel dirt before they changed. As she drove in the morning of this shoot, everything looked perfect, the lighting, the weather, etc., so they went forward with their plan. They drove onto the construction site and almost immediately a guy in a little orange vest started walking their way. The team thought it was over, but instead, the man took his helmet off and said, “I’m ready for my close-up when you are.”
This shoot was just one of those instances where everything falls perfectly into place, and they couldn’t have planned for it to turn out any better.
Thanks for stopping by!
