Kim and Michael knew they wanted an autumn outdoor ceremony amidst the mountains and peaceful surroundings. But planning a destination wedding can be daunting. However, since they chose the experienced St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City UT, their minds were at ease. And with Pepper Nix Photography behind the lens, their images turned out beautiful as well.
As for style, the bride wanted to look like a woodland fairy. Kim knew she wanted lace and long sleeve because she loved the vintage look and was confident she’d be freezing, even though it turned out to be 79 degrees and sunny. The lace combined with the illusion neckline was a perfect balance. Since they chose to have a small wedding, the florals were the focal point. And Braided Briar Floral Studio blew them away with her arrangements. Kim was so particular about the look she was going for that she sent Pinterest ideas frequently. The florist always kept her cool and assured Kim she understood her vision. Planning with vendors in another state requires a significant amount of trust. So that’s what the couple did, and they were beyond thrilled with the outcome. From the amaranthus and scabiosa pods to the orange dahlias in Kim’s bouquet that she had to have, the florist paid attention to every little detail. The South African Queen Proteas in the arch and centerpieces were gorgeous, and the bride’s South African family appreciated them as well!
