In bouncing around ideas for this inspiration, Lauren Friday of Lauren Friday Photography and Lauren Pressley of Southern Savvy Events were very adamant that they wanted to create an edgy twist on a classic and timeless look, staying true to both of their brands. Locating the venue was the most complicated piece of the puzzle as it needed to be something unique enough to pull together the rest of their details.
The Goodyear Building offered itself beautifully as their backdrop. This building, which is scheduled to be torn down to make way for new apartments, initially served as an automotive service center. Located in the heart of downtown Charlotte, the building has long been a landmark. When news broke that it had been sold to a real estate developer and would be sitting unoccupied for months, a local business, Vintage Charlotte, jumped on the opportunity to use this space for local artists to work on their craft and showcase their work before it’s tear down. This shoot took place once the residency ended and the team was thrilled to showcase some of the artwork that had been created on the building in their photos.
Thanks for stopping by!
