Lester and Kamila came all the way from Chicago for their elegant elopement, and they brought the most lovely weather with them. The skies were blue, the weather was warm and balmy, and desert breezes kicked up now and then, and it was all captured by Cactus and Lace Weddings, LLC.
Lester, family members, and other guests arrived at the Valley of Fire before Kamila did so that Lester’s first look at his bride in her lovely wedding gown would be in the glorious Gold Ridge area at Valley of Fire, near Las Vegas. And Kamila arrived just in time for a sunset ceremony wearing a cutwork lace gown that looked beautifully exquisite. With stunning hair and makeup by Ruby Finch Salon, and lovely music by a string quartet, the bride walked toward her groom and waiting guests with her mother and sister at her side. Also taking part was their beloved dog – who was waiting ever so patiently at the arch – a stunning blue eyed Husky named Zoey.
Zoey knew something was up, and when the ceremony began, the pup made sure she was included as much as possible. And along with the very young ring bearer, who had her under his tight grip, they brought the rings to the altar. Lester and Kamila each wrote their own vows. As the setting sun created a watercolor palette of pinks, corals, and brilliant tones upon the desert hills, Lester lovingly described what Kamila meant to him, and by the end of his vows, she was crying, and he may have also had just a few tears of his own. As Kamila recited her vows to him, his eyes were locked on her the entire time. It was such a sweet moment for them as well as their family and friends. When a couple has such heartfelt expressions of their love, it can be one of most touching moments of the day.
