This sweet Santorini destination wedding has to be one of the loveliest and most laid-back events Sandy and Odysseas Photography were lucky enough to capture this year. Celine and Cedric said “I do” and their two beautiful children said, “we do too!” The couple’s darling daughter became the maid of honor carrying a sign that read “Mom arrives” and their lovely son became the perfect ring bearer and groomsman assisting his dad in getting dressed.
These stunning Belgians had their hearts set on this Greek island because Celine’s dad descended from the land of famed Vinsanto wines, and every moment of their wedding from preparations to the celebration to endless kisses in the shade of bougainvilleas was as delicious as summer wine.
During the ceremony, the bride’s sisters set up a truly spectacular and oh-so-touching unity ritual using drawings, a badminton ball, and several colorful props to narrate Celine and Cedric’s love story, while eight colorful silk ribbons tied around their hands became symbols for passion, kindness, prosperity, patience, devotion, wisdom, strength and family ties.
FROM THE BRIDE
We met sixteen years ago at a badminton club. We wanted to get married when the children were old enough to enjoy this moment.
Cedric learned to play the saxophone without telling me for two years. He asked me in marriage during a romantic weekend playing me pieces of our encounter, incredible.
Our wedding day was a superb day in all simplicity. The theme was beige, white and suspenders for men, and blue for women. We wanted harmony for our guests and our children; we wanted them to be in the same tones as us. It was just dreamy. Everything was in emotion. An exceptional place, for an outstanding moment with extraordinary people.
My tip for every bride and groom to be: Make your wedding as you wish, as you imagine even if it is not like every other wedding you normally see in blogs and magazines!
Thanks for stopping by!
