The Black Tux was founded in 2013 by Andrew Blackmon and Patrick Coyne, longtime friends who while preparing for Andrew’s wedding in 2011, saw an opportunity to offer men an alternative to traditional tuxedo and suit rental outlets.

After their poor experience renting for Andrew’s wedding, they decided to explore different ways to improve the tuxedo rental process and turn it into a more enjoyable experience. Fast forward almost 2 years later and The Black Tux is serving customers all over the country from San Francisco to Chicago to New York, making sure guys look and feel their best for any black tie occasion.

While we still love to see a gorgeous black tie wedding, we really love the latest trend of a groom and his groomsmen each wearing suits and ties that are a bit different from each other, yet still coordinate together. We think this creates a more casual look that lets the guys stand out a bit, with your groom taking center stage among them, of course. We hope to see even more couples venturing into this style soon!

Either way, traditional or inventive, black tie or casual, we think utilizing The Black Tux is a sure way to go!

Vintage Fashion Inspired By Audrey Hepburn

“Wow! That’s more than a dress. That’s an Audrey Hepburn movie.” ~ Jerry Maguire

Arguably this is one of the best lines from an all-time great movie. And because Audrey Hepburn was such an incredible fashion icon, designing attire and accessories based on her look will never go out of style. Case in point, this vintage fashion inspiration by Ashlee Mintz Photography. The team went for a simple look with hair and makeup and lots of bling. And model Allison wore a black tulle skirt and classic black heels, with the outcome being an adorable style we think would be fun for a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, or perhaps even for your bridesmaids.

If you’re not on the path to a wedding, for gals who love Audrey’s style, this look could be fun for a Valentine’s Day dinner or just a fun night out.

10 Layering Looks For Early Fall Fashion 2014

It’s no secret I love fall, especially fall fashion.

There’s just something so magical about the shift from summer to fall. And as the weather gets cooler and most of us kick the shorts and flip-flops to the side and replace them with comfy boots and cozy scarves, I can’t help but smile.

Sure summer is great, but fall…it’s definitely my favorite season.

So I’m happy to share this roundup of 10 layering looks for early fall fashion 2014.

13 Wearable Fashion Trends For Fall 2014

It’s that time again, time for our mid-summer roundup of fall fashion trends to get you ready for fall. I know, it seems like summer just started. But fall is coming, time to start planning for your fall fashion wardrobe. And since I am secretly squealing with delight at the thought of buying new clothes, I’m guessing you are too.

As with all of our fashion posts, (or anyone’s for that matter), these are simply suggestions. Not all styles will work for every body type and personality, nor every location weather wise. Shorts in fall will work fine for me in California, but probably not in Chicago or New York. It is your job as a “fashionista” to take style suggestions and make them work for you, to create, tweek, and turn trends such as these below into your own. PS…wearable means trends from the runway that regular women can actually wear. So without further ado, here are our 13 wearable fashion trends for fall 2014.

Orange Fashion

You might be saying, “Oh no, orange is not for me.” Don’t worry, I said that for a long time too. But I’ve changed my tune. I’m ready to give this look a try as I think it’s fun and vibrant. Also, it comes in so many different shades, you’re bound to find one you’ll absolutely love.

Swinging 60s

The 60s came back a little while ago and I’m happy the style has been sticking around. Some of it at least. Fashions like this ASOS dress below are so much fun, and pretty too!

Anything Ladylike

This trend is one I’m fully on-board with. As you can probably tell from the design of this blog, I gravitate towards pretty, feminine and ladylike. Are you keen on this trend as well?

Western Fashion

Western wear is huge right now. And it will be in fall as well. What do you think? Love it or hate it? I’m kind of lovin’ it.

Wrap Coats

Ever since I can remember I’ve always gravitated towards coats. When I was eight years old I begged my mom for a camel colored double breasted wool coat that was way too much for a kid my age. But that’s how it’s always been with me and fashion. So this is another trend I’m all for.

Pastels For Fall

Lucky for us, the pastels we loved for spring and summer are sticking around for fall as well.

Knit Wear

I’m not sure knit wear has never not been in style. I could pretty much live in it. So it’s lovely to see it’s officially being listed as a trend this year.

Matchy Matchy

While the prints in the image below are not identical matches, I thought it was cute nonetheless. This trend takes a pattern and uses it for both tops and bottoms. Admittedly, this trend’s not for me. But I’d love to hear your take on it.

Dress Over Pants

I’m a dress girl. I’ve said it before and I will keep saying it. So I’ve definitely worn this trend before. A cute dress over a pair of jeans may sound funny to some, but done right and it’s really fun. I’m definitely loving this trend.

Norse Inspired Wear

Norse inspired wear covers a lot of territory. The patterns can range from the clearly obvious Icelandic sweater, (or Lopi) to something that looks closer to native American Indian. This is another lovely trend I’m looking forward to adding more of.

Ladylike Leopard

What does ladylike Leopard mean? Well, just as it sounds. Anything ladylike, a demure dress, feminine touches, modest lines…all with a Leopard print. Love it!

Sneakers With Dresses & Skirts

This one is fun as well. I’ve been wearing my Converse with with skirts and dresses for years. But this trend aims for sneakers like shown below. I might have to sit with this idea a bit, but…I kind of think it’s cute. How about you?

Monochromatic Grey

And finally…to one of my favorites, monochromatic grey. I’m obsessed with this hue right now. Probably because it’s a huge influence in the design of my office. But it also looks beautiful on just about anyone. And the look of all grey, especially in different shades and patterns, is definitely appealing to me. Do you like it?

Bohemian Editorial Fashion Shoot

Today’s bohemian editorial fashion shoot is a bit different than our regular style features. But that’s okay, it’s good to mix things up every now and then to keep all of us on our toes, right?

Alycia Creative and model Haylee spent a warm spring day in San Mateo California, wandering around the park while enjoying the weather and peacefulness. And as Haylee brought her bohemian style, Alycia brought the fun head pieces and her photographic eye.

I’m obsessed with the gorgeous necklaces Haylee is wearing. And the floppy hat and fun head pieces are fab as well. Let’s not forget to mention the cream and brown knitted sweaters with their fantastic vintage vibe. Love them. This is definitely a fun bohemian look…very Coachella-fashion-ish!
