Hi!
I came across your blog on craft gawker because of your dog bed slip cover! I have a golden retriever, so its nice to be able to wash a cover. Also, I am in an organization at Texas A&M called Aggie Guide and Service Dogs. We are mainly donated golden doodles to train. Quinley hits close to home on how important they are in our lives and aren’t “just a dog”.
BUT! I mainly just wanted to say I really enjoy your blog and incites. Thanks!
Thanks Kourtney! I’m glad you like the blog
The organization you are in sounds awesome! We are going to certify Quinley as a Therapy Dog sometime soon. Goldendoodles are so good at that! I try to do a few projects for dogs here and there and there are always tons of stories so check back often. PS…one of my dear friends is an Aggie alum
I just found your website via pinterest and I really love it. I just wanted to say good job and if you had any tips for someone trying to start a craft website.
Hi Angie – I’m glad you found it! It’s always nice to gain new readers. I am putting together a guide with tips on how to build a successful blog, however it won’t be done for a few more months. Until then, my best suggestions are, blog about what you love. Running and growing a blog is a lot of hard work, so its best to at least be blogging about something you love. Post as many pictures with your posts as you can and make sure the images are the best quality possible. Post at least one really good post a week. Blog as often as you can. And use social media like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and StumbleUpon to get your posts out there so people can find you and your amazing blog
I’ll let you know when the full blogging guide is done. But feel free to email me at any time if you have any questions.
You are adorable and I want to be you when I grow up! I just came across your blog and love it!!!!! I will be a returning site stalker
Thanks Michelle! How sweet, what a nice thing to see to start the day off. I’m glad you found the blog and I look forward to having you along for the ride
Have a great day! xoxo Stephanie
Hello, I love your idea with the slip cover for your dog. I am wanting to make a slip cover that is like a bottom sheet for our beds. I am the adoption coordinator for a dog rescue org here is Agua Dulce, California and this idea is perfect. In the summer we take flat sheets and cover the dog beds, tucking it under, but this idea is much better. Please let me know if you know how to make the edges for a fitted sheet. Thank you, April
Hi April! Thanks for the comment. I’m glad you like the slip cover
And wow…what a rewarding job you have! It must be such an awesome feeling to place rescues…I just love that!
I do know how to make a fitted sheet. Basically you take a square or rectangle size of whatever material you want and make a cut of about two to three inches at each corner. Then turn each cut piece together and sew. You’ll want to also sew in some elastic at the bottom of each corner to help pull it under whatever surface you put it on. I can draw you a diagram if that would help better. Just let me know.
Wow Steph, good stuff. You look very happy and as beautiful as ever. Super happy for you!
all the best,
Ward
Awe…thanks Ward! So good to hear from you. Hope you & your pretty wife are doing well too!
I have a question who makes the boots and the sweater that is used under big belted sweaters??
Hi Ashley – Thanks for the comment. The image came from Fash For Fashion. The link is under the image on the post. Thanks again and have a great day!
Hey! I just did the infinity scarf project step 1 but couldn’t find the other two parts- are they posted? Thanks!
Hi Jenny – Thanks for the comment. Yes, all the posts are there. They were all done in the same week. Just enter “infinity scarf” in the search box on in the upper left hand side bar and all posts should pop up. Thanks for following!
