Andy was referred to Kelly as a potential client as Kelly is a real estate agent and Andy was in the market for a new home. It’s amazing how things work out as now they live together in that home! Pretty fantastic, eh?
Kelly and Andy are huge outdoor enthusiasts. So much so that on their first date, they went for a run around Washington DCs Tidal Basin. Of course they followed that up with some beer and food at Whitows, in Arlington. Also, Kelly’s bridesmaids organized a run on the morning of the wedding. They met Kelly at her hotel door with screen printed t-shirts that read “ TEAM BACON.” And they proceeded to jog around Old Town Alexandria, sporting Kelly’s soon-to-be new name, TEAM BACON the whole way! Also, Andy’s wedding band is inscribed with “teammates in life.”
What’s that saying? The couple that plays together, stays together.’ Sounds like these two know the secret!
As for their wedding, Kelly and Andy were entirely comfortable and completely stress free the entire day, thanks to Gretchen, Jan an Blaise from Dragonfly Events and Design. The bride and groom tell us they would not have been able to dream up the colors, table settings, flower arrangements and more if it weren’t for their team of exceptional ladies who prepared, executed and captured it A L L! And included in that list must be their lovely photographer, Jan Graves of jan michele photography
In the end, they even got a small rain storm(good luck) and a rainbow just before sunset. Kelly also I got her chicken soup story. A quick background on the chicken soup commentary. One of Kelly’s favorite books is “Chicken Soup for the Romantic Soul.” It is a sweet collection of love stories and over the years her girlfriends have always commented on anything sappy, as “chicken soupy.” So when her closest friends met Andy for the first time they told her she met her Chicken Soup. And they were right!
