Aviva and Avery grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland only a few blocks away from one another in similar communities, yet they didn’t meet until they were adults. However, once they did meet, their common experiences forged a relationship so comfortable and easy it's almost as if they've known each other their whole lives. In addition, Aviva and Avery both enjoy teaching and helping others. He is a high school English teacher and she worked her way through collage with 36 hour shifts every other weekend helping disabled adults. It's always nice to see two selfless people come together. Amy and Chris were just friends, hanging out in a group for months when all of a sudden they realized, "Hey, I really like you". Like then turned to love and now they are getting married in Hawaii this May! Photographed by Arlene Chambers Photography, these two are definitely full of laughter. Luckily they got a few serious shots in between all the laughs. But for the most part, everything was funny to them so Arlene joined in and caught them being true to who they are...GIDDY TOGETHER. They even took a moment for a playful game of 'Thumb war' and although it was hard to tell who won, Arlene
Andrea and Lawrence chose two of Washington's most popular wineries to shoot their engagement session. They both love wine and spending time together, so this was the perfect setting for them. They each have great style, and the two of them put together some amazing looks for the shoot. And after shooting at the wineries, they finished off the day at a local beach park where the two of them took a walk on a dock and got their feet wet. Photographed by Brooks Scribner Photography, Andrea and Lawrence's session looks to be every bit as gorgeous as the day itself.

Hey there everyone! Just a quick heads up, we're still working out some kinks with the new site design so bear with us, okay? It's gonna look and function beautifully after a few tweaks...I promise!
For now, we have this lovely winter engagement session from NYC to warm you up. Katie and Rich are high school and college sweethearts. But they ended up attending college together in a serendipitous kind of way. The two of them decided not to tell each other ANYTHING about where they wanted to attend college in order not to sway the other person in any direction. They both ended up applying to
Kelsey and Paul are originally from Northern California but they now live in Ohio where Paul is going to Medical School. They were both back in their hometown of Ukiah, CA for the holidays and they were able to meet up with their photographer Christopher Cooke of Christopher Cooke Photography to do their engagement session. Luckily the California weather was sunny and very friendly for photography, even in December! But it was cold...at least in the morning. When they started shooting it was 29 degree outside, but Kelsey and Paul were troopers and actually didn't mind the cold. These two are
I am in awe of the beautiful color pop in these gorgeous images of Gurjit and Arif's engagement session. Shot by Alexandra Hunt Photography who shares with us how the bride and groom to be are two of the funniest and happiest people she has ever had the pleasure of photographing. This Canadian couple is head over heels about each other and it shows! Their session took place in the historic village of Fort Langley, British Columbia, and featured an abandoned train station, a leafy grove, as well as a walk (and a twirl or two) along the Fraser River. Gurjit wore a gorgeous purple sheath dress and
I think I can pretty much speak for all photographers in saying it's awesome when clients come to their session excited and ready to rock their shoot right out of the park. And that's exactly what happened for photographer Athena of Athena Kalindi Photography when today's couple Mia and Aaron drove from San Jose to meet her for their engagement shoot. And when they arrived, Aaron looked handsome and Mia was absolutely beautiful. And she had so many outfit changes Athena hardly knew what to do! Another awesome thing all of us photographers love is multiple outfit changes. Too many is never
Today's Goldfield ghost town engagement session at Apache Jct. in Arizona has a bit of a feel good story to go along with beautiful imagery. Jennifer and Stefano won this engagement session from Photography by Verdi at a benefit for Ear Candy, a charity donating musical instruments to children in need. How fantastic is that? Anything that benefits a children's charity gets five gold stars in my book, right off the bat. But add in the unique style and playful eye of Mindi and Rich from Photography by Verdi and you have yourself one all-around awesome photo session! Jennifer and Stefano
I've mentioned before that I'm always on the lookout for places to shoot photographs. You'd be amazed at how difficult it is sometimes to find places where you can shoot without being kicked out or charged or in some cases even ticketed, which I recently found out happened to a photographer friend at a location I've shot at quite often. Scratch that location of my list! Anyhow, having said that, when you find a location like the one in today's engagement session, it's seriously like finding the holy grail.

Today's featured engagement couple Lauren and Tyler met and fell in love at Florida State University. Photographed by Andi Diamond Photography, Lauren and Tyler's hometown engagement session is super cute if I do say so myself. I love the way Lauren's blue dress just pops right out of these lovely images. I'm also really intrigued by the grungy appearance of the the worn down sheet metal siding behind them in these first few pictures...it's so cool! And you know how much I love it when there are different looks in a photo shoot. It just brings a different dimension to the people being
One of today's features, shot and submitted by Diana Rush Photography, is Melissa and Nathan's engagement session shown here below. Nathan is in the US Marine Corp. and he proposed to Melissa shortly before he left for training. While he was away, Melissa put together an engagement session that would reflect them as a couple and mixed both their love of horses and the outdoors, as well as the USMC. Nathan has now been deployed to Afghanistan and along with their photographer Diana, we are happy they were able to capture these images before he left, but even more...I know we all wish
Today we have a wonderful engagement session photographed by my friend and fantastic photographer Jessica owner of Jessica Frey Photography. All you regular readers will know Jessica's work has graced this blog several times with Shannon & Mike's vintage surf themed Engagement Session and their super relaxed Rincon Beach Wedding as well as Tien & Joseph's Romantic, Fairytale styled Engagement Session. And once again we are honored to feature one of her shoots with bride and groom to be Jessica & Jesse. Jessica and Jesse wanted to have a fun, outdoor nature feel to their
Happy Monday ya'll! Yeah, that's right...I said ya'll...even though I was born and raised in Southern California. I just thought it was fitting given we have this wonderful New Orleans engagement session today. Brittany & Skylar, along with their two beautiful dogs, were photographed by Meg & Charles from Meg Baisden Photography. Meg & Charles are a New Orleans based husband and wife photography team, along with Madison, their adorable seven pound dog who is their studio's official mascot. If you haven't checked out Meg and Charles's website, it's a definite must. It's
