Melanie Jane and Dave's Downtown Fort Worth wedding was full of elegant details oozing with lovely southern charm. Married at the Texas Christian University Chapel with their reception following at the The Fort Worth Club, these two brought out their rustic side with darling cowboy boots and a short trip to a nearby farm for some fun shots in a field. Photographed by Tracy Autem & Lightly Photography, Melanie Jane and Dave's flowers and over-all decor was bright and vibrant and just the right flavor for the happy event.

Christina and Josh were already married, but they planned a big vow renewal for all of their friends and family to come together to celebrate their union. Photographed by jen + ashley photography, they chose the gorgeous Kingsmill Resort in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. With the James River as their backdrop, they promised, (again), to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives and sealed it with a high five and a kiss, which you can see in the beautiful film of their wedding below!

In March, at The Experience 2013, I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful photographer I'm featuring today. Aislinn of Aislinn Kate Photography was one of the photographers who attended our Las Vegas workshop during WPPI. And today I'm featuring this gorgeous handmade, country wedding she shot the week after our event. How fantastic is that?
Amanda and Casey wanted a country, handmade wedding. So they created just that. In fact, other than the venue, Aislinn was their only traditional vendor because photographs were a priority. Even the big barn doors that opened as Amanda walked down
A couple of my favorite photographers are dropping by today to share this beautiful wedding with us. The fabulous husband and wife team of Jason and Jessica from Session Nine Photography sent over this lovely Arizona ranch wedding held at a place that holds great meaning to both the bride and the groom.
Let's hear a few words from the bride:
"Even before my husband Carl proposed, I dreamed of getting married at the place where we met and fell in love, The White Stallion Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. This is where our families vacationed and Carl and I would reunite there for a week each April
Green weddings are becoming more and more popular as eco-conscious couples are looking to curtail the footprint they create within their own wedding.
If you happen to be such a couple...today you are in luck! This playful, eco-chic inspiration shoot has all the makings of the loveliest of lovely green weddings. Put together by creative event planner Lauren Mace of Eutopia Events and photographed by talented photographer Michelle Girard Photography, and assisted by a fabulous team of amazing wedding professionals, they all created this stylish and green wedding inspiration that you can use
I LOVE history. I think if I weren't a professional wedding blogger, I'd be a history professor. Yes, I love it that much!
So when a submission comes along like today's inspiration shoot from Krystal Mann | Photographer, mixing my love of weddings with history, it's like match made in my heaven.
Did you know Andrew Jackson was not only a great president, he was also a dedicated husband and quite the romantic? He was! In fact, he built a beautiful one-acre garden for his wife Rachel, where they would walk and talk together at seven o’clock every night. When Rachel passed, Andrew continued
Today's bride and groom, have to be one of the cutest couples I've featured here on FYB. From their choice in venue to the vintage wares they used as props throughout the historic property to the sweet and adoringly way they looked at one another, Mallory and Jacob had a dream wedding and have a match made in heaven. Photographed by the fabulous Kristina Lynn Photography & Design and Event Planning by Once In A Lifetime Weddings + Events, here are a few words from the bride herself.
FROM THE BRIDE:
"For our venue, we decided on Ushers Ferry Historic Village here in Cedar Rapids. Ushers
Suzanne met Garrett in 2008 at her friend's wedding. He was the brother of the groom and the best man. During Garrett's best man speech, Suzanne became smitten and immediately introduced herself. Their first weekend getaway as a couple was in Vermont and they continued to return throughout the years. On one of those Vermont trips over Memorial Day Weekend 2011, they visited Hildene, the home of Abraham Lincoln's son. During a tour of the museum and grounds, Suzanne fell in love all over again. And even though she and Garrett weren't engaged yet, she knew it would be the perfect place for their
Lovely FYB reader Kristin writes,
"I'm in love with Baby's Breath, lace, burlap and the colors champagne, gold and pink. I really want to include all of these in my wedding, but I'm afraid with so many different colors and textures it will look too jumbled. Do you have any advice?"
Why, yes...Kristin, I definitely have some advice! First let me say I love all of these colors and textures as well. And while one would think mixing them all together might be too busy, they actually compliment each other quite well.
Let's have a look...
Here you can see the use of gold with the Chivari
It would be a dream come true to work for a bridal boutique while planning a wedding. Lucky for today's bride such a dream is her reality.
Missy works at Dream Gowns where she found her lace overlay silhouette gown. From there Missy and Lee's wedding took on a vintage feel and they happily ran with it. Some of their amazing details were the handmade fabric bouquets from Etsy, bow-ties and pocket watches for the groomsmen, and a beautiful chandelier on loan from a local store that was the featured artwork on their programs.
Missy and Lee are high school sweethearts and their vintage inspired
Andrea and Lawrence were married at St.Thomas Moore just outside of Denver, Colorado. They had a sweet and intimate ceremony filled with family and friends who traveled from near and far to be there on their special day. After their vows, the couple and their guests headed to the reception at Warwick Denver Hotel in Downtown Denver. The reception room at The Warwick was set beautifully, accented by magenta and lavender centerpieces and different places settings in an alternating pattern.
And photographer Brooks Scribner Photography captured so many great images, including one of my favorites
Over the weekend I received this sweet reader email from a lovely bride to be. She wrote:
Dear Stephanie,
I'm getting married in the fall on a family farm in New York. The ceremony will be outside, and we're planning on having the reception inside the old barn. The barn has been used for other weddings so I know it's going to be perfect! I'm really, really excited! But other than my dress, I'm at a loss on where to begin with the style of it all.
A friend turned me onto your site a while ago and since I just love your taste in style, fashion and inspiration, I thought I'd take a chance
It's no secret I'm a huge fan of New Orleans. So when Lily and Matt's gorgeous wedding sent over by pure 7 studios landed in my inbox, I did a little happy dance. Not only for the fantastic images of these two lovebirds and their French Quarter wedding, but also for it being from one of my favorite cities.
I also have their video trailer at the end of the post. And I must say, for a couple who've been together for eleven years, their love and chemistry together is definitely inspirational. I hope you enjoy!
