When it comes to weddings, there's nothing I like more than a great couple, their sweet story, and a happy ending in the form of a lovely, rustic garden affair with some of my all-time favorite colors...soft blush and champagne.
Photographed by BellowBlue, Heather and Nic were married at Heidel House Resort & Spa in Green Lake, Wisconsin and as you can see...it was a beautiful event. Be sure to read their story and more about their wedding from the bride herself at the bottom of the post. Enjoy!

Today's beautiful bride Jenny and handsome groom Russ are from the San Francisco Bay area. But they wanted a "natural, vintage" wedding, as Jenny playfully coined it, so they opted to hold their wedding in the mountains at Yosemite's 1920s built Wawona Hotel.
The flowers they chose were a mix of very earthy, natural colors, with white, ivory, muted greens and yellows, as well as a mix of succulents. Photographed by Rachel McNamara Photography, Jenny and Russ wanted to make sure their wedding reflected both of them and their likes, so in addition to Jenny's decor ideas, since Russ is a big
This past Sunday I helped put on my 4th workshop/inspiration shoot since May of last year! Exciting huh? It's been an amazing journey transitioning from photography to blogging full-time on a professional basis and adding in speaking and helping others to be the best they can be in their businesses. It is an experience that is beyond rewarding.
But one of the most joyful things I get out of these workshops is watching the new friendships that form between attendees. It's such an awesome feeling to see people connect because of something you took part in creating. Honestly I don't think I'll
In March, at The Experience 2013, I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful photographer I'm featuring today. Aislinn of Aislinn Kate Photography was one of the photographers who attended our Las Vegas workshop during WPPI. And today I'm featuring this gorgeous handmade, country wedding she shot the week after our event. How fantastic is that?
Amanda and Casey wanted a country, handmade wedding. So they created just that. In fact, other than the venue, Aislinn was their only traditional vendor because photographs were a priority. Even the big barn doors that opened as Amanda walked down
A couple of my favorite photographers are dropping by today to share this beautiful wedding with us. The fabulous husband and wife team of Jason and Jessica from Session Nine Photography sent over this lovely Arizona ranch wedding held at a place that holds great meaning to both the bride and the groom.
Let's hear a few words from the bride:
"Even before my husband Carl proposed, I dreamed of getting married at the place where we met and fell in love, The White Stallion Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. This is where our families vacationed and Carl and I would reunite there for a week each April
This lovely free spirited wedding took place at the Springhill Pavilion just north of Bozeman, Montana. Photographed by Fran Ze Photography, Katie and Kurt's gorgeous outdoor affair can easily be summed up as one...
The gorgeous bride added some great details including a couple of beautiful vintage chairs from Montana Party Rentals and an old wooden crate to hold the ceremony programs. The lovely flowers of Baby's Breath, Daisies in different colors and delicate pink and cream colored roses, among others, were done by Labellum, a contemporary flower boutique in town. And the mismatched bridesmaid
The popular saying "Do What You Love" shouldn't only apply to choosing a career. Do what you love should be the best advice to follow when it comes to planning your wedding as well. As in most cases...the best inspiration will always come from the heart.
Jaclyn and Nick believed this to be true as well. And since both the bride and groom come from a farm upbringing, it made perfect sense that the two got married on Nick's family farm in Tennesse. With the barn decked out in paper lanterns, pumpkins and colorful fall flowers, this rustic working farm was turned into a pretty perfect oasis
Every wedding I feature here on FYB holds a special place in my heart. I'm always striving to bring you, (my lovely readers), the BEST of the best! So while I can't really say one wedding is my absolute favorite, there are some...like today's, that SIMPLY blow me away. Also, this fabulous wedding just so happened to be on my birthday and what's not to like about that?
The gorgeous green, brown, gold and orange color combination couldn't have been more perfect for the unique venue that Allison and Sean chose. The Boojum Tree is one of the most uniquely photogenic event sites I've seen with
My love of handcrafted items runs deep! My sincerest hope is yours does too.
I'm guessing if you're here, it does...and that makes me happy!
Whether you're an experienced Craft-ddess, (that's Craft & Goddess combined) or a newbie just tip-toeing into the handcrafted world, I'm always doing my best to come up with as many cool ideas for you as I can.
This week I thought I'd share some handcrafted ideas you can make for your wedding that will serve as newlywed home decor after your wedding as well.
This is a little thing I like to call...
"Young Home Decor"
Here's what I mean. Check
Julie and Colt's stylish and handcrafted wedding is everything I adore to feature here on Fab You Bliss. From the amazingly creative stationery, to the rustic burlap signs, to the picture perfect birdhouses scattered about the Bartlett Arboretum's gorgeous grounds, there is so much lovely put together here. And the abundance of love shared by the happy couple and their guests was yet another special feature among the many well thought out touches.
Photographed by Jackie Cooper Photo, this lovely affair is surely one for the storybooks!
Photographer:
Would you believe me if I told you this beautiful vase was handmade from an empty can of Pringles potato chips?
It was!
Are you surprised?
A few months ago when we started planning The Experience workshop, I knew I wanted to do as many handcrafted projects for my inspiration table as possible. And since my theme started going the direction of a sea/beach style, I thought it would be perfect to somehow make some vases that were covered in rocks.
If you're looking for a rustic vase option for your wedding or perhaps just a pretty vase to display in your home, I highly recommend
Don't you just love a country, shabby-chic styled wedding? It's definitely a favorite style of mine. Mia and Shawn hit the nail on the head with theirs in hues of soft blue and cream photographed by Style Life Photography. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful United Church of Granville and the reception followed at The Granville Inn just down the street.
Mia hand crafted many of the details herself, with help from Shawn of course! The most beautiful of which were all the flowers. Mia worked with a local florist who offered a package price for the flowers as well as coaching classes to
Over the weekend I received this sweet reader email from a lovely bride to be. She wrote:
Dear Stephanie,
I'm getting married in the fall on a family farm in New York. The ceremony will be outside, and we're planning on having the reception inside the old barn. The barn has been used for other weddings so I know it's going to be perfect! I'm really, really excited! But other than my dress, I'm at a loss on where to begin with the style of it all.
A friend turned me onto your site a while ago and since I just love your taste in style, fashion and inspiration, I thought I'd take a chance
