Elmwood Mansion is a gorgeous private estate in Gallatin, Tennessee. It is also where today's lovely bride and handsome groom joined their lives together among their closest family and friends. Paired with rustic, handcrafted details and elegant, modern attire, Katelyn and Ryan's marvelous wedding blended the old with the new in many beautiful ways. My favorite details were the bride's carriage ride to the aisle and the outdoor photo booth with fun props. Gotta love those lips and mustaches! And thanks to photographer Wendy Cunningham, we are lucky enough to see all the beauty and fun there was! Click Here to Read More

Are you looking to create a theme for your wedding that will convey something about you and your fiance? Then it's your lucky day. Today's inspiration shoot, photographed by Seriously Sabrina Photography, shows how to bring both the bride and groom's likes together with incredible details. The shoot is called "The Seamstress and the Watchmaker". The bride, a seamstress, has sewing details incorporated into her sash, flowers with a pin cushion, her flowers, which are wrapped with vintage measuring tape, and her bridesmaid's flowers which are wrapped with a small golden dress form.
The
This past Sunday I helped put on my 4th workshop/inspiration shoot since May of last year! Exciting huh? It's been an amazing journey transitioning from photography to blogging full-time on a professional basis and adding in speaking and helping others to be the best they can be in their businesses. It is an experience that is beyond rewarding.
But one of the most joyful things I get out of these workshops is watching the new friendships that form between attendees. It's such an awesome feeling to see people connect because of something you took part in creating. Honestly I don't think I'll
As I expressed in the engagement session feature posted earlier today, I'm absolutely obsessed with the images shot by every photographer who attended and spoke at The Experience 2013. Absolutely obsessed! Not only did I make amazing connections with all of them, I'm so honored and proud to be able to feature their work here on Fab You Bliss.
Before we get into the images, I have to send another BIG thank you to Mina Olive, wedding designer extraordinaire who went above and beyond to get us this gorgeous custom designed gown and long veil. Also, we're sending a huge shout-out to Twigs &
Have you've had a chance to see the table design I created for The Experience 2013 featured in today's previous post? If you haven't, be sure to go check it out here.
Now, it's time to share with you our lovely desert engagement session. Brett & Ryan, our engagement couple are actually married. They just posed as an engaged couple to help us complete our shoot. They also work in the wedding biz running a Photo Booth company out of Las Vegas called Fotobomb . These two were so much fun! And we are beyond thankful for the time they took out of their schedules to help us make this shoot happen.
Green weddings are becoming more and more popular as eco-conscious couples are looking to curtail the footprint they create within their own wedding.
If you happen to be such a couple...today you are in luck! This playful, eco-chic inspiration shoot has all the makings of the loveliest of lovely green weddings. Put together by creative event planner Lauren Mace of Eutopia Events and photographed by talented photographer Michelle Girard Photography, and assisted by a fabulous team of amazing wedding professionals, they all created this stylish and green wedding inspiration that you can use
I LOVE history. I think if I weren't a professional wedding blogger, I'd be a history professor. Yes, I love it that much!
So when a submission comes along like today's inspiration shoot from Krystal Mann | Photographer, mixing my love of weddings with history, it's like match made in my heaven.
Did you know Andrew Jackson was not only a great president, he was also a dedicated husband and quite the romantic? He was! In fact, he built a beautiful one-acre garden for his wife Rachel, where they would walk and talk together at seven o’clock every night. When Rachel passed, Andrew continued
Today's bride and groom, have to be one of the cutest couples I've featured here on FYB. From their choice in venue to the vintage wares they used as props throughout the historic property to the sweet and adoringly way they looked at one another, Mallory and Jacob had a dream wedding and have a match made in heaven. Photographed by the fabulous Kristina Lynn Photography & Design and Event Planning by Once In A Lifetime Weddings + Events, here are a few words from the bride herself.
FROM THE BRIDE:
"For our venue, we decided on Ushers Ferry Historic Village here in Cedar Rapids. Ushers
It thrills me to pieces when I get to feature wonderful weddings like Melanie and Bryan's where each detail has been so lovingly handcrafted with every bit of their hearts.
And when I say every detail, I mean every detail. From the gorgeous sheet music paper-broach bouquet and matching boutonniere to the carefully handcrafted children's activity book, no detail was overlooked. And even the items that were purchased, like the candies, cupcakes, and adorable bride and groom's likenesses that were printed on candy packaging and the printed books, all were made by local, independent businesses
My love of handcrafted items runs deep! My sincerest hope is yours does too.
I'm guessing if you're here, it does...and that makes me happy!
Whether you're an experienced Craft-ddess, (that's Craft & Goddess combined) or a newbie just tip-toeing into the handcrafted world, I'm always doing my best to come up with as many cool ideas for you as I can.
This week I thought I'd share some handcrafted ideas you can make for your wedding that will serve as newlywed home decor after your wedding as well.
This is a little thing I like to call...
"Young Home Decor"
Here's what I mean. Check
Don't you just love a country, shabby-chic styled wedding? It's definitely a favorite style of mine. Mia and Shawn hit the nail on the head with theirs in hues of soft blue and cream photographed by Style Life Photography. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful United Church of Granville and the reception followed at The Granville Inn just down the street.
Mia hand crafted many of the details herself, with help from Shawn of course! The most beautiful of which were all the flowers. Mia worked with a local florist who offered a package price for the flowers as well as coaching classes to
It would be a dream come true to work for a bridal boutique while planning a wedding. Lucky for today's bride such a dream is her reality.
Missy works at Dream Gowns where she found her lace overlay silhouette gown. From there Missy and Lee's wedding took on a vintage feel and they happily ran with it. Some of their amazing details were the handmade fabric bouquets from Etsy, bow-ties and pocket watches for the groomsmen, and a beautiful chandelier on loan from a local store that was the featured artwork on their programs.
Missy and Lee are high school sweethearts and their vintage inspired
Timing is everything. However, in Caitlyn & Brett's case, perfect timing turned into something unexpected and untimely.
While on a weekend leave during an away call of duty, F-16 Air Force pilot Brett planned a romantic weekend getaway for him and his girlfriend Caitlyn where he proposed to her. Of course she said yes, but their blissful engagement was cut short as Brett was immediately called away for a year deployment in the Middle East.
With lots of help from her loving family, Caitlyn did a beautiful job planning while Bret was away. Mixing old with new, she wanted their wedding
