One AH-MAZING Recycled Designer Tree-house!

You all know how much I LOVE design right? And how passionate I am about recycling old things into something new again, correct? Let’s not forget to mention how much I adore the great outdoors.

Now….how about we mix them all together into one post for today? What do you say about that?

A blogger and designer friend of mine, Lynne Knowlton from Design The Life You Want To Live, sent me some images of her AH-MAZING tree-house to share with you and I couldn’t be more excited! Remember, Lynne sent me that fabulous Grapevine, Eh-Em…Balls DIY a couple of weeks ago? That’s right…now I can see you remember.

Anyhow, this tree-house of Lynne’s is seriously stunning with two lounging/sleeping areas, a sink, a bar and plenty of space to enjoy the great outdoors from way…up…high! Add in all the personal touches like family photographs, decorative candles, lanterns, stained glass, antique hardware, fluffy pillows, genius DIY projects and lots and lots of love, and you have yourself one spectacular tree fort.

Built entirely from recycled barn materials that were set to be destroyed, Lynne’s beautiful tree-house is set among a grove of trees on her property which is two and a half hours northwest of Toronto. I’ll be sharing with you what some of the rest of the property looks like in the coming weeks.

For now…have a look at her wonderful tree-house. I’m imagining being there right now!

Hope you enjoyed Lynne’s AH-MAZING tree-house. And if you haven’t already, be sure to stop by her blog for lots of fun she always has up her sleeve!

Thanks for stopping by!

Reminds me SO much of the “house in a tree” treehouse that my over-zealous dad built for us when we were kids. Real door, windows, and a wrap-around porch!

    Stephanie,

Oh man, I don’t know. I’ll ask my mom and sisters and see. It’s not nearly as glam as this one but I can pretty much guarantee that we had the awesomest treehouse in rural Alaska!

So cozy! I could just disappear there …and be alone with my books and a journal. Love it!
