Glittery Bridal Champagne Brunch

This playful and elegant glittery bridal champagne brunch is said to have been coined with the mantra, “Pop, Bubble & Fizz” by event designer Ashley Summers of Ashley Nicole Events. And what a perfect theme to have for a day dedicated to the celebration of love!

Bride to be Danielle and her close girlfriends were surrounded by glitter covered champagne bottles, cupcakes, noisemakers, and pink and silver cakes, as well as the cutest gold and silver banner decoration hanging above the table that helped the fabulous venue go from wow to WOW. And with the help of photographer Shalynne Imaging, Danielle and her lovely ladies have these fantastic images to remember all the fun.

Dusty Blue and Cranberry Fall Decor

Fall is here and it’s time to start thinking about decorating for your holiday gatherings. Of course, today’s gorgeous palette is also beautiful enough for a fall or winter wedding. But I really like the idea of going completely off palette like this for a Thanksgiving affair, and sort of off palette for the winter holidays.

Lucky for us, the ever-so-lovey Haley Dotson from The Bride Link, along with photographer Lisa Price Photography and floral and concept designer LB Floral, sent over this amazing dusty blue and cranberry fall decor that’s absolutely perfect for this time of year.

This entire tablescape is inspired by a dusty blue and cranberry fall color palette. The cranberry shades offer the warmth of fall while the dusty blue and silver accents bring elegance and style to the table.

Orange pumpkins of different sizes were painted with various shades of dusty blue to offer a nontraditional fall look. The large pumpkins were hollowed out and used as vases while small white pumpkins were dispersed to add contrast.

Although I will always love the traditional orange and yellow fall colors, this fall color palette has stolen my heart!

Classic Blush and Ivory Country Club Wedding

Lisa and Domonic were married in a classic blush and ivory country club wedding on a gorgeous July day at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth in Virginia.

Help Us Name A Celia Grace Gown

Help us name this Celia Grace gown!

Are there any women in history or present day you are completely inspired by? If so, share their name and why they inspire you to possibly name this beautiful gown.

One of our fabulous content contributors is ethical and eco chic wedding gown designer Marcie Muehlke, owner of Celia Grace, America’s first and only fair trade and eco wedding dress brand.

Celia Grace has just released its 2015 collection and they’ve asked us for help in naming one of their stunning new styles.

Last year we helped them name this short style dress, which ended up being named “Lucille” after Lucille Ball.

Read on to find out what the naming criteria is for the pretty gown below and how you can help name it!

Celia Grace connects women around the world so they can help each other – women in the US and Europe help seamstresses in India and Cambodia earn respect and a living wage so they can better themselves, their families, and their communities. Celia Grace seamstresses help brides have even more beautiful, joyful, and meaningful weddings.

By naming each dress after an inspiring woman, Celia Grace continues this cycle of building positive connections between women around the world. Last year’s dress names in include Amelia (Earhart, pilot), Rachel (Carson, environmentalist), Susan (B. Anthony, abolitionist), Eleanor (Roosevelt, humanitarian), Rosa (Parks, civil rights activist), Eileen (Collins, astronaut), and Marie (Curie, scientist).

The 2015 collection features fine silks and vintage-inspired laces, illusion necklines, keyhole backs and a few dresses that convert from long to short and two organically-dyed pink dresses.

What we need to do is brainstorm as many inspiring women as possible after whom this dress can be named. Public figures (past or present) are best but all suggestions are welcome.

The dress we are naming is just lovely, it’s vintage-inspired winding floral lace delicately floats over sumptuous, body hugging silk crepe. With cap sleeves and a wide open back this gown is both classic and dramatic. The overlapping v-neck and empire waist adorned with stunning beading create a flattering, feminine fit close to the body and softly flaring into a flute skirt. Made with ivory embroidered tulle and silk crepe.

There are so many women in history and modern day that this naming game should be no problem, and at the very least we can have a whole lot of fun with it.

Once again, I’ll start it off. I would name this dress Angelina, after Angelina Jolie. Now, say what you want about Jolie, her acting skills, her life choices, etc., but this woman knows how to turn something bad into something good.

For a long time she was misunderstood and, for good reason, she was disliked by a lot of people. But she kept on trudging promoting humanitarian causes and working with refugees as a Special Envoy and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

I personally did not like her for a long time because of the choices she made in her personal life. But for her many selfless acts and continued pursuit of turning bad into good, she’s made me see her in a different light. Therefore I love the idea of naming this dress after her.

Whimsical Backyard Connecticut Shoreline Wedding

On what could be considered one of the most beautiful days of summer, Sarah and Garrett tied the knot in this whimsical backyard Connecticut shoreline wedding at the bride’s father’s home.

Sarah readied at the couple’s Guilford homestead, which once was her grandparent’s home. Her grandfather, a past worker for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, left behind a plethora of memorabilia, which made a wonderful backdrop for photographer Brigham & Co.

Sarah and her two sisters, with the help of her beloved Labrador-Terrier mix Halle, donned her exquisite bridal gown from local boutique April Rose, a dress Sarah came across in her first go-around.

Her something blue, a little heart cut from mom’s sweater, kept her close by Sarah & Garrett in spirit on her big day.

The soon-to-be betrothed met for a first look at Olmstead Outlook, a tranquil river-lined walk in historic downtown. Through the trees and lush gardens, the two met and collapsed with jubilant emotion into each other’s arms.

Back at dad’s home, the guests arrived for a Meet & Greet with the bride and groom, surrounded by whimsical, bright floral arrangements and décor, succulents and paperie galore. By the quiet marsh, Sarah walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her dad and stepdad, where the couple ultimately shared their first kiss as Mr. & Mrs.
