Ben and Kalyn both grew up in Prince Edward County, so it was a natural fit to remain local for their wedding. Kalyn’s sister Breeann had her wedding just two years ago, to Luke, one of Ben’s groomsmen, also at Crystal Palace. These close sisters decided it would be amazing to share the same wedding weekend, and the same venue. So with Adelita Rose Photography behind the lens, two years later in the same spot where her sister stood, Kalyn celebrated her union to Ben.

Kalyn and Ben chose a carnival themed wedding for their day which was carried from their engagement photos which were done at the Picton Fair the year before and in the same spot where the Crystal Palace sits. Their ceremony site, graciously donated by a friend of the family (which was different than Breeann’s) looked out onto the lake and the island cottage they had spent so many years at growing up. Antique chairs lined the first few rows of the site for immediate family members while others were asked to stand For the settings; Kalyn scoured flea markets and garage sales with friends and family to find enough antique style plates for every guest. The tea cups, which were donated by her grandmother rounded out the setting perfectly.
Thanks for stopping by!
