Marissa and Nathan are such a wonderful couple. These two are high school sweethearts who met on a missions trip to Boston and they realized they liked each other when on the flight home they both fell asleep with their heads resting on the other’s shoulder. Together with Peterson Design & Photography they had such a delightful time shooting their wedding they decided they wanted to do a day-after shoot for a couple of reasons. First, they LOVE taking photographs and they’re always ready with their cameras or phones to get a fun shot. Plus, how often do you get to take photos as bride and groom? Ideally, only once!
Second, they wanted some relaxed time together to get some shots that weren’t possible on their wedding day. Marissa is obsessed with rustic and lush locations and although they were able to capture some beautiful shots at their venue, they really wanted to spend time exploring this beautiful location for a variety of shots.
Marissa and Nathan’s wedding was a rustic/vintage/bohemian style so they continued with that theme incorporating some of the photographer’s props and some of their props from the wedding day. The photographer designed the florals using some of the flowers from their wedding day combined with new flowers and succulents that they weren’t able to incorporate into the wedding day bouquets. In addition, Peterson Design & Photography surprised these two by bringing along a pack of FujiFilm Wide Instax Polaroids to add to the vintage vibe of their session.
