Lauren and Eric’s chic wedding at Chuck Jones Gallery in Costa Mesa, California is one special treat we’re delighted to share on this happy St. Patrick’s Day. Along with the artistic venue, the couple’s color palette of gray and yellow with pops of gold really wowed with the ladies in dresses of their choosing and the men in dapper gray suits.
Photographed by Bergreen Photography, we think Lauren and Eric’s fun and fashionable style blends seamlessly with the artistic space of creative genius Chuck Jones.
From Bergreen Photography:
I’d like to begin this story with three Chuck Jones quotes. After all, it seems fitting for a wedding that took place, once upon a time, at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity in Costa Mesa. If you don’t know who Chuck Jones is, think Bugs Bunny.
“If you start with character, you probably will end up with good drawings.” -Chuck Jones
First off, the character’s of today’s story are ones of fairytales. Beauty, brains, and bravery abound. Despite being both incredibly talented and inspirational, this couple is also unassuming and approachable. Ever since we first saw them together, Lauren and Eric wowed us with their love and complimentary personalities. They won us over on their incredibly fun and fashionable Photodate. The blew us away with their first dance. (Talk about teamwork.) We remain speechless at the honor to know them, share meals with them, and especially to photograph them on their wedding day. Ok, maybe not speechless.
“The rules are simple. Take your work, but never yourself, seriously. Pour in the love and whatever skill you have, and it will come out.” -Chuck Jones
As photographers primarily known for our outdoor wedding photography, we had been looking forward to this wedding for a variety of reasons. The joy of celebrating with Eric and Lauren, of course, but also the opportunity and challenge of shooting at such an awesome venue. We embraced the call to transform the gallery and surrounding environment into the setting for this love story!
“I’m still astonished that somebody would offer me a job and pay me to do what I wanted to do.” -Chuck Jones
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, in case I don’t say it enough, we love what we do. We get behind the scenes with prince charming, his bride, and their loved ones on the very day that everyone is celebrating the best of who we are as characters in this life. Our ability to love and be loved.
