There’s something so special, crisp and clean about a green and white wedding. Add in the gold and black like in today’s modern San Francisco wedding photographed by Alicia Gines Photography, and special turns into magnificent.
Tell us about how you met AND how you got engaged:
Nick and I met through mutual childhood friends. His best friend Mark, who he’s known since t-ball days, began dating my (Jordan’s) good friend Mary after high school – they’ve since married and are expecting their first baby in May! It wasn’t romantic at first; we were polar opposites of each other. But somehow we became really good friends and our love developed from there. During the first two years of friendship, we NEVER thought that we would end up together let alone married. But at some point, our friendship become more, and we realized we couldn’t not try it out, and now here we are!
Tell us about the special details of your wedding:
These details act as inspiration to readers and/or help explain the details of your wedding that they see in the images. We wanted a wedding that really represented ourselves. We both love San Francisco, and Pavilion By the Bay has an amazing view of the City. I had to have my lounge furniture and Nick needed his white dance floor. We weren’t so focused on having a WEDDING but more so on throwing a great party with all our friends and family, and since the majority of my bridesmaids ended up dancing on the furniture by the end of the night I think we succeeded!
What was your favorite part of the wedding? Having a traditional Catholic mass at Sts. Peter and Paul where my Great Grandparents were married, the view, and dancing all night!
Was there a something old/new/borrow/blue? Something old:
Gold bracelet was given to the bride by her Grandparent’s on night of engagement. The bracelet was made by melting down various pieces of gold jewelry from great-grandparents and grandparents. Both the bride’s mother and grandmother have similar bracelets. Something new: Diamond bracelet gifted to bride day of wedding. Something borrowed: Bride wore her maternal Great Grandmothers ring which has each birthstone of her 10 children. Something Blue: Garter.
Thanks for stopping by!
