The inspiration for this styled shoot was born when Jennifer Tansley of Soirees and Revelry visited Lindell Flower Farm. It’s an organic flower farm, only one of a few across the country. Much like the photographer, Corey Lynn Tucker’s belief system, Jennifer finds her inspiration from her natural surroundings.
In Tansley’s words, “There is something magical about the farm, the land, and the woods with the “fairy path” winding through the forest. As we walked through the organic flower farm, we came to a maypole, and I could picture maids in gauzy gowns dancing around it, welcoming spring. In that moment the idea for an enchanted bridal shoot was born.” (continue below)
“I wanted the shoot to reflect the space – natural with an overgrown garden feel. The surrounding flowers, dark woods, and lush patches of ferns all evoked a feeling of magic and mystery. I used natural elements in the tablescape – crystals native to Connecticut, seasonal flowers, plant-dyed cotton and silk linen, and ribbons, set on antique and reclaimed furniture under an old tree, as if it just sprouted there overnight.”
Tansley approached Tucker and asked if she wanted to collaborate with several like-minded wedding vendors to make magic happen and do something different. Corey took it from there envisioning fairytale meets high fashion and mystery. All Dolled Up didn’t disappoint when it came to styling the model’s hair and make-up, straight off of New York Fashion Week’s runway show, the hair and make-up made the blue-eyed beauties pop! Tucker is in her element surrounded by nature, a source of constant inspiration. With only one hour left to the day, the twilight session lent itself to the perfect mood for mystery and magic of the woodland maidens. “Let’s take our hearts for a walk in the woods and listen to the magic whispers of old trees.” ~unknown
